Mad that we’re still paying someone who looks like he’s running through treacle so much money. Needs to be dropped and offloaded with the rest of the deadwood who have been stinking the place up for months.

I know I've said it before but I still cant fathom why some idiot gave him a new contract after we were promoted.

In a whole list of mistakes this is high up there. Just made no sense at all.

Obviously financially OK for him but can't believe Vestergaard signed it, he had the opportunity to get out of here.

Problem is, he may have been ok in the Enzo team of 2 years ago but he's 2 years older now and has fallen out or out of favour with our last two managers. Utter madness to give him that 3 year deal last summer, which we all knew at the time. Needs to be moved on, but I don't think anyone takes him.

We can't play him any more he's too slow.

Thomas, Vesty and JJ were all out paced by Preston on the break yesterday

The defence needs a real injection of pace.

Cheat code at this level

He’s not actually that slow ….. once he’s moving. He just accelerates like he’s carrying Faes and Okoli on his back.

lol He really is. Did you not see how he got absolutely burned at Preston by a guy who's not exactly known for his pace.

Had a good game but him being in the side does naturally create problems. You have to play a bit deeper and when you combine that with a negative central midfield pairing and Ayew dropping so deep, it just allows other teams to really pin you back as we saw tonight.

It’s funny with Vesty. One game he can look so statuesque and lost, but another game he can look cultured and sublime.

He was my MoTM tonight. I thought he was defensively sound and sometimes our most creative player. I won’t get too excited though as we all know his limitations. They’re just less likely to be exposed at this level

It's a difficult thing to admit, but he often shines at this level, as does Faes.

Okoli was better tonight too. Would still like a LB but otherwise our defensive options look OK.

I’ve soften after being told he’s one of the few senior pros whom likes the manager and is being good with the younger lads etc

I thought it was noticeable against Charlton and again tonight that he's very often the one dishing out encouragement/praise/bollockings as needed. At the same time he gets put into some really unenviable positions because of how scared of the ball a lot of his teammates are but he never seems to be waving his arms about at them or getting visibly frustrated, just cracks on with it.
