I don't recall our defence making any significant mistakes today, most of cardiff's good chances came from our #8s and wingers making bad decisions, getting fouled, or making bad passes.  I thought the defence and winks actually did really well to limit the damage.

Mistakes don't just mean giving the ball away... there was a moment near the end of the game where Cardiff picked the ball up in their own half and played it through our entire team only for the lad to pull it wide. That's a defensive mistake, that shouldn't be happening.

Bit shocked by the reaction on here although shouldn't be.

Should have been out of sight at half time but didn't take our chances and they scored a worldie. Second half was very pedestrian but ultimately won the game.

KDH was poor today thought he'd be the one to get hooked. Really need this right mid in. We're only gonna get better.

Luckily our manager doesnt hook based on a mistake.  We would end up with no players on the pitch.  KDH ended up contributing to the goal.

First half we had 64% possession and 8 shots to 2, with twice as many completed passes - which is pretty dominant :)

Second half was pretty even Steven. The best thing was the character shown never to give up. We didn’t see enough of that last season. Well at least not effectively.

We surely won't always get away with these kind of performances, will we?

Buzzing to have 3 wins out of 3 in the league but just hoping we start to put in more dominant displays.

Really chuffed for both the goalscorers

I'm realizing how big the gulf between the premier and championship is, three games in three wins where we not being that great, with the side out there today we would have been hammered in the premier defense still not convincing really need to sort out

Ladies and gentlemen I give you FoxesTalk where a Manager with 4 competitive wins out of 4 has lost 9% confidence! Amazing!IMG_5045.thumb.jpeg.6bda5c6d34616d19136d5d408f4813ef.jpegIMG_5045.thumb.jpeg.6bda5c6d34616d19136d5d408f4813ef.jpeg

We don't need to be premiership level yet, we have 2 weeks left of this transfer window, a whole season to improve and a summer transfer window, should we achieve that goal this season.

Maresca's tactic is that we win possession back straight away, the onus is therefore on the front five to prevent the ball getting through, in your example this doesn't happen (it also came from KDH being elbowed in the throat and not gettign a foul) - and to be fair, that was the only chance they had where it was one-on-one.  Generally, speaking, if we're talking purely about the back 5 (including winks), other than the one on one, they didn't allow cardiff any easy chances, just a few long range efforts.

Highest rated league in the world vs 19th highest rated league in the world. The gap in quality is massive and is getting bigger with every season.

Really good first half we should have been 3-0 to the good but then that wonder strike :+( second half not so great, lucky not to go 2-1 down but kept pressing to the end and got the reward. Tbh fell apart a bit when ndidi off the pitch. Kdh was well under par, marcel his best game to date. A win is a win... we keep on going

Thought KDH looked really tired after about 50 mins. Head down. The humidity will have played a part but he kept going despite. Clearly issues with attack but we can enjoy 3 points

I don't think being elbowed in the throat is conducive to energetic football, so maybe we'll let him have a slightly subdued outing.

considering last year the amount we bottled it, this is a nice change - would rather we start playing good though. Still have goalkeeper trauma. every time the opposition shoot i poop myself

Thanks Danny

First half was decent enough today, controlled without ever looking capable of blowing the opponent away and limited Cardiff to nothing but a wonder strike.

2nd half was poor. When the rhythm goes out of the game and we get disjointed both facets of our game collapse, both offensively and defensively.

Individually I don't think anyone stood out. KDH particularly poor and if not for his engine which sees him elevate his game late on, he'd have been hooked. The back 3 all looked shaky at points, I was surprised they took Bowler off who'd skinned Doyle a few times. Great that Casadei got the winner and he showed a couple of decent touches, but our midfield shape worsened after that change.

The collective press needs to improve as well, we are clearly making more effort but it's still not swarming enough and Cardiff escaped it easily 2nd half.

Would like to see us string a performance together for more than 45 mins, even if it's something as simple as not looking so vulnerable in transition. At some point relatively soon our luck will run out.

Sure - and we've had the same situation before, certainly against coventry.  but there are signs that we're going to get to a point where we're hitting 70/80% possession in games.

It was a great game and I really enjoyed it, I'd have taken the draw, anyone with any sense can see Cardiff will be a team challenging play off places, they played some nice football
