Excellent win and fully justified the team selection. I’m not sure anyone actively wants us to go out but using your head not your heart, this remains a luxury and second in the priorities behind the league. Ideally, we could rattle off 3 wins now before the quarter finals and give ourselves breathing space to go for it.

Glad to beat Bournemouth anyway. A team I have an irrational dislike for. Maybe due to being a bogey side, last season doing the double over us just to roll over for Everton. Also they just seem to spend obscene amounts for a club with a league 1 fanbase. The plucky little Bournemouth thing doesn’t wash either as they were bankrolled up the league.

The fact about them only getting to the 5th round was it 5 or 6 times in their history was interesting too. Even when we are in the lower division (based on our historical standings) and actively putting a b team out not bothered, we still seem to make the 5th round/quarters year on year. Levels.

Vestergaard making Rodgers look silly

Think Rodgers was perfectly able to show that by himself.

Well I thought it was a good performance.

Had flashes of possession, only really feel like Bournemouth ever troubled us from set pieces. Really think when we did get under pressure it helped having Coady in there because he’s a massive talker and I think that’s something that we’ve missed.

9/11 starting players haven’t had a real sustained run in the starting 11 throughout the season as well which is pleasing. Subs made a difference. About time Fatawu scored one of them!

I wonder how much good that does when half his teammates don't understand him :sweating:

Unbelievable. So proud of the team last night and to get into the quarter finals. Thought Vestergaard, Coady and Hamza in particular were superb. Yunus also good, just shame about his finishing. Also our goalkeeper, his distribution maybe poor, but he should've stayed here last season as he's btter than Ward and Iversen.

I was there last night. Not too far for me as I live in Hampshire now. What a great night. Great atmosphere. Really had no expectations before the game as Bournemouth hasn't been a lucky ground for us. But everyone who played really stepped up. The goal from Fatawu was another piece of FA Cup magic. Brilliant. Into the last 8. Up the City

If we can find a 20 goals a season striker we will be fine next year

Need to find that finisher

You know there’s barely any of those around?

I think we also need one that can play with his back to the goal and hold the ball up and help us build play.

I slept like the proverbably log last night unlike Friday night. A brilliant game to watch with a brilliant Goal to win it.

So many top performances, Jakub, Vesty, Ricardo, Hamza Marcal, Akgun,  all 9s I'd say. The rest 7s  Even Praet who seemed a little lost at times made some key interventions.

A special mention for and Raki, Cannon and Marcal who I thought was sensational especially first half. I'd have no worries about playing him in any game for the rest of the season.

We needed that result after 2 defeats last week. Now we can go into the QPR game with Confidence.

I think they said that we've been in at least the quarters of one of the cups for the past eight years.

Wasn't at all fussed by this but gradually got dragged into it and really enjoyed it at the end. Hamza, Coady and Vestegaard all unreal.

Just a touch annoyed its taken this long to show that actual fight at the end of games

God knows when he said it but @Dan LCFC summed it up beautifully last night. It feels like we haven't won a game like that in absolutely ages. It wasn't a backs to the wall sh*thouse win but it wasn't a team we can walk over where we should be winning.

We've taken the game to a better team and we've battled like champs for 120 minutes.

Credit to Enzo and the players for that one, I was starting to wonder if our club was capable of performances like this. First time I've been properly proud of a performance by a Leicester team since probably that second leg vs Atletico.

The FA Cup win was special, but we needed a massive pinch of luck in that one whether people want to admit or not.
