Rub of the green with decisions but fully deserve our lead

Still don't like how we look at the back, despite how bad Southampton have been. Feels like a ball over the top could undo Faes. 

Would like to see us look more solid 2nd half, as no doubt they will have their moments. 

If we can get a 2nd though, then I can see Southampton switching to conserving energy for play-offs.

I suppose I should be happy, but experience won't let me be until we are at least 3 up.

Much better until we scored but still ponderous in the final third. Now we’ve scored we’re playing like a lower league team in the third round again.

 

These are there for the taking if we just had a bit more belief.

Pretty obvious we are going to need to make 2-3 subs before the 70th minute but he won’t do it.

Better side, Southampton look lost with the ball… need to press on and get that second

Had 36% possession but 11 shots… almost like we are quite effective when we don’t try to obsessively retain the ball at every opportunity. 
 

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Vardy has looked the best he has all season in general play in a game where we are letting the opponent have the ball and are pressing them high.

Quite possibly one of the most comfortable half’s of football this season.

Tbf, I can't see Southampton being much worse in the second half.  Need to be quicker to get our shots off, grab a second and their heads drop.. they're more than still in this atm

Agree but we are up against about the only team in this division that is more possession obsessed than us.

Our goal looked a bit offside and there were a few other dodgy calls.  Nice to see Martin losing his rag.  

 

Wouldn't want our fate to hinge on a Maddley mindfart, so get another goal or three, lads.

 

Fatawu and Vardy very good that half, nice assist from KDH and good tackling by the defenders pressing, but we will get turned and outnumbered at some point if we are not careful.

Southampton looking a little bruised, battered and low on confidence. We have a clear game plan, and are executing it reasonably well. Long may it continue.

KDH and Wilf have been awful, could be fatigue because they look so off it

Familiar tale of taking the lead and then letting the opposition take control. But we have looked comfy. However as already stated, Saints cant be this bad in the second half. I bet my pornhub subscription that we are hanging for dear life in the last 20 minutes.

Good half, just a bit sloppy when it matters. Keep it up boys, the pressing is working nicely. Just need to take a chance early on the second half.

Seeing how he’s following Adams, I’m surprised they haven’t dragged him out and used a runner into the space.

For about the first 15 mins maybe they’ve been quiet for the majority.

The nervous me is concerned going in at half time  with it just at 1-0 is going to give them a chance to re-group

Can’t see Southampton being as sh#te in the second half.

Wilf hasn’t quite been on it today, and some of our control on the ball has been atrocious
