What a player, superb ambassador for the football club, gave us some unbelievable moments and will go down in history as our first ever champions league goal scorer, absolute bona fide legend.

Watch those videos and just think how amazing he’s been and also how lucky we have been as fans over the last 10/15 years.

What a great guy and player!

So many positives with Sharky, his enthusiasm, work rate, and loyalty stand out, not a bad thing to say about him, wish him and his family all the very best.

Leaving aside his achievements here and the fact he seems like a real good guy, he's a very good player and I think we'll miss him. I think Fuchs would've been a good option from 21-23 and I wonder if we'll think the same about Albrighton in the next couple of years.

The lad had lots of good moments here but our first Champions League will always be the most memorable for me. I proper lost my shit, with tears, laughter, and some of the most intense emotions I’ve ever felt.

Thank you Marc.

Probably been said already but the great escape run started as soon as he came in the side (with change in formation) it was no coincidence - if he doesn’t play those games we probably get relegated.

Obviously things went from strength to strength over the next few years he was so good - and free!!

Legend is thrown around too often but Sharky is a proper legend whilst also being a proper nice guy and gentlemen - if he chooses to carry on he would be a great signing for a championship club looking to build a spirit and see how a true pro applies himself.

we have had lots of quality players come and go over the past 5 years with more natural ability but none of them are fit to lace this man’s boots - he never gave anything less than 100% and was underestimated by so many teams we played !

Enjoy whatever comes next Marc and hope we see you alongside some of that great 15-16 team in the coming years !!

Watching that video of his best assists I’d completely forgotten just how good he was for us. Shame he didn’t play more this season. What a guy.

These are the sorts of players that are the DNA of a club. They're at the heartbeat of all of the good stuff behind the scenes and clubs that struggle are usually the ones missing their character and attitude. You can always find yourself another shot stopper, another winger, even another goalscorer but players like Schmeichel, Albrighton and Vardy set the standards. Finding people with the right attitude is far harder than just finding people with the right skills.

He'll be a big miss.

A 'pro's pro' as my wife put it...  If anyone ever wants some inspiration in their football career...
