Popular Post mazarron fox Posted 7 January Popular Post Posted 7 January Just to point out JA has scored at the same rate ( more or less 1 in 5 ) as he has done all his professional career, in fact slightly better for us. Whoever signed this bloke knew what his scoring stats were ,so on that score he’s done what it said on the tin. Can’t blame him that’s his ceiling, blame the idiots that think that after 300 odd games he’s going to score more all of a sudden! 15 1
FLAN Posted 7 January Posted 7 January Still rattles me he dared to take the 9 shirt. Feels like that was allowed to spite Vardy. Birmingham retired Bellinghams shirt and he’d achieved nothing with / for them 2
Mike Oxlong Posted 7 January Posted 7 January First name on the team sheet in the one touch training matches 2
honeybradger Posted 7 January Posted 7 January Same number of goals as Richard Kone and Mihailo Ivanovic 1 1

MC Prussian Posted 7 January Posted 7 January (edited) Joint second-best goalscorer this season, alongside Fatawu and De Cordova-Reid. And second-most assists so far, on the same level as Thomas (!) and James. Winning. Edited 7 January by MC Prussian

Popular Post Pliskin Posted 7 January Popular Post Posted 7 January Thing is, if he spent less time ****ing around outside the penalty area, I think he would score goals….. but he can’t bring himself to just be a 9….. he’s got to get involved deeper in the pitch for most of the game. This is where Marti needs to be stronger, tell him what he wants him to do…. If Ayew gets into the positions he does all of the time for his goal, he would have 10-15 goals comfortably. He has actually proven he’s a half decent finisher…. 9

He has actually proven he’s a half decent finisher…. All Ayew needs to do is goal hang. He doesn’t need to play left wing, he doesn’t need to drop as deep as Skipp, he just needs to press and be in the box. He can’t help his instincts and has to play his greedy, cheating style, then every so often scores when he is actually in the box. It’s not even the lack of goals that is most annoying but how much he stinks out attacks from other parts of the pitch. Ayew is probably the most experienced and high profile player Marti has worked with. He can’t coach and influence kids at the start of their career, let alone seniors.
fleckneymike Posted 7 January Posted 7 January (edited) Ayew isn’t the problem but he’s symbolic of all our problems. The wrong signing by the wrong manager on the wrong contact now playing in the wrong position and wrong for the system we’re allegedly attempting Edited 8 January by fleckneymike 4
Gamble92 Posted 7 January Posted 7 January I've always liked him as a player and if he had better around him they'd be no one talking about him as an issue. The pathetic diving around is an issue though. I like how he can draw fouls but when things aren't going our way and he just loses his head is like something you'd expect from Monga or Page. He is far from our main problems and anyone who thinks he is needs to give their head a wobble. He will end the season with 10 goals and it's about what I expect from him. Everyone has been talking about goalscoring as our issue but Ayew, Fatawu and James look like they're doing to make up for not having a "9". It's been the shit show at the back that will cost us a decent season. 3

Abdul and to a lesser extent Stephy/Monga get double (sometimes have three players on them) as they’re our only attacking threat, minus JJ. We’re so easy to play against, as everything is played at a walking pace and in front of the oppositions back line. Ayew playing up top condemns this, Daka is no better as whilst he can run, my three year old lad would likely win a 50/50 against him. 1
Dan Posted 8 January Posted 8 January The bloke isn't a striker. Simple as that. He hasn't got striker instincts. I don't know what he is but it isn't a striker. 2
Quorndon_Fox Posted 8 January Posted 8 January Can’t wait to see him go, dreadful player and has never fitted the club.
pmcla26 Posted 8 January Posted 8 January One of the least "Leicester" players ever. Couldn't believe it when we signed him, and he's lived up to expectations (that's not a compliment). How anyone at the club ever thought he'd be a good signing is beyond me. Especially as the evidence from his time at Palace was right under everyone's nose.

He is one of the main issues that contributes to our non-esistent press and why we are so low in the rankings for distance covered and sprints etc. Whilst one player alone might not move the overall dial much, you need a spearhead and he really isn't that. He does have some qualities though, he's probably the best option right now but it is no surprise we arrive in some games completely off it as teams can set the tempo against us and we crumble.
TheGoldenGod Posted 8 January Posted 8 January Hope to look back on his time like a fever dream...what actually is he?

He should be deployed as a RHS attacker, to be brought on at 75min, when we're trying to defend a lead, as an outlet so he can hold the ball up and win us free kicks, at the top end of the pitch. - Nothing more! Instead we're using him as our main starting striker!!! We were warned about this from Palace fans! Why does our "recruitment department" ignore the facts that can clearly be seen by the rest of the existing football world! Useless 1 1

Why does our "recruitment department" ignore the facts that can clearly be seen by the rest of the existing football world! Useless Oddly, he seems to have an army of fans. I had one bloke next to me at a game who would shout 'CMON JORDAN!' everytime he got the ball, 'DONT WORRY JORDAN' when he fell over, and every time he came near us would take lots of photographs. This was someone i think in their mid 30's. He didn't appreciate me saying 'What do we have to do to get this idiot off the pitch'. And don't get me started on us singing 'Jordan Ayew ole ole' when he wins a free kick for falling over. I bet you there is a Jordan Ayew fan club out there somewhere. 2
