I suppose this could narrow the gap a bit, letting Championship clubs be better prepared when they go up.

Presumably the motive for the Premier League refusing to change it is to try and maintain the status quo….

We will be lucky to finish 12th. Honestly we are dogshite.

I've said in another thread I don't think we'll see back to back relegations but I expect us to turn into Stoke/Swansea sort of levels of meh for a while

Relegation more or less confirmed now, time for the club to start planning for it.

I think we'll be fine if we make the right decisions* as soon as this season finishes.

*as in, decisions that should have been made at the end of 22/23 season such as Rudkin gone, other key personnel fired and actually have a strategy to prevent the same thing happening again...

Can imagine them looking at players to bring in for next season in the PL right until we’re  mathematically down and then briefing the press how we didn’t have enough time to plan for the championship…….

If they bottle it again, that would be hilarious

No it wouldn’t, co* are the team likely to catch them. That’s a ****ing nightmare.

People underestimate how dog shit the championship is.

True.  I am quite optimistic.

Looking forward to seeing the back of this season, blooding some youth next year and bringing home our ninth title.

It is horrifically bad….. it comes down to planning and recruitment. Get it wrong, and you just become one of those dogshit clubs!

The gulf in class is huge, but I do think we’ll suffer a bit more this time around. Playoff contending finish for me.

I’ve got a feeling Wrexham won’t get promoted this season

Not a chance mate! We will be lucky to finish 10-12th on paper I feel Southampton / Ipswich will do far better than us next season they have players that are good at this level, if Southampton get Rohl as their new manager I expect them to certainly finish in the top 2.

If I had to do a prediction albeit early.

The likes of Middlesbrough, Sunderland, WBA, newly promoted Birmingham , Ipswich, Southampton, Coventry (if they don’t get promoted via the playoffs), Bristol City and Norwich City will all fair better than us.

Winning the title will not happen; I worry for us for the foreseeable future unless we have a change in ownership.
