Yes, they were not better than us at all. Last game: he should have won comfortably but of course our mentality and set up was shot and we drew in the end! What remains truly unbelievable is how the hell could we have ended up in relegation!

Over the season? Of course they were.

Just remember  Hull avoided relegation to Lee Gwon by GD last season.

Great turnaround without paying players like Winks,Daka,Vesty 75k a week.

👏🏾👏🏾

Thats pretty awesome for them, didn't realize thats how they survived.

If they don't invest heavily, they will 100% go straight back down and might fall into the trap we did with back to back relegation.

I dont see any of the promoted clubs staying up but Sunderland shocked us all to some degree.

Sunderland are a far bigger club than Hull, who couldn't even shift their full ticket allocation yesterday.

There isn't a hope of the tigers being able to attract the likes of Xhaka or Brobbey.

I'm pleased Hull got promoted out of the many in and out of contention in the play offs, but it was a painful watch. I know it was boiling hot and the stake (and the pressure) means playoffs are often very poor, but it pretty much showed how limited in any quality much of the Championship is.

Sunderland did surprise, but I also keep forgetting that they broke all spending records for a newly promoted club. They had very little (if any) operating losses, players on sensible wages and did sell a some players for decent sums. So without a PSR inflicted cap (or not one that got in the way) their net spend was over £140 million.

I agree with you, I can't see Hull staying up unless they do the same.

Pleased for Hull. They should have just gone up when all the spy stuff started. Middlesbrough had so many chances and were still poor.

For Hull to go up is an unbelievable achievement given everything they went through last summer and only just stayed up last season.

It'll be interesting how the league try and water down and ruin the west ham v millwall derby.

It'll be 12:00 kick offs, all police leave cancelled, local alcohol sales restricted.

The derbies next year are massive.

Millwall/West Ham

Wolves/West Brom

Blackburn/Burnley

Cardiff/Swansea

Southampton/Portsmouth

cardiff/swansea, west ham/millwall are the only 2 decent ones...and I'm sure the authorities will do everything they can to dilute them as much as possible.

I disagree, I'd say they're all huge games and especially for the fans involved (obviously).

Add Boro vs Saints to it LOL

That's going to have a Coventry and Sunderland kind of rivalry for the next 30 years now

I certainly wouldn't have imagined this scenario, when I got to this forum 10 years ago.

Neither did we.

WBA/Wolves is massive, you only have to look at what happened in the Cup game the other season.

lol Both of these fixtures are going to be incredible.

And I'm right in thinking the last time you met, in the league, was during Covid so next season will be the first with fans in nearly 15 years.

Yes it's been a long time due to pronotion/relegation meaning we kept missing each other.

I don't look forward to them and have never been to one personally, as they are always marred by fan violence and bad feeling.
