So we’ve registered a 24 man squad, which means we’ve got a place for a free agent.

The list is about as exciting as standing on a Lego brick or plug in the dark, however, who would you choose to get us out of this predicament?

I’ll be honest and say I was tempted by Ben Yedder for the simple fact he annoyed me so much on FIFA back in the day, however I think we need some defensive stability,

The list is honking though….

Signing shite on high wages is exactly why we are in the predicament we are, so we need to break that cycle at some point. Better to save the money and rebuild in the summer

I think I'd prefer not to do business. We're down and out and a free signing isn't going to change that. It won't change our fortune. We missed a chance to get a loan player in and I'm more and more annoyed that we couldn't even bring in Edwards. Gone to Burnley with a loan fee of £1m. £1m, with a reported future fee of £8m. Surely that would have been low risk on wages and psr? A loan signing from abroad should have been brought in and identified first.

But back to your question. Definitely just leave a space empty, it'll be a waste of time.

I’ll do it, we need a fourth choice keeper don’t we?
The Alex Smithies role.

Danny Ward has that job absolutely nailed down until the end of the season.

Jason Denayor.

Never heard of him but he's shown as injured so he'll fit in perfectly.

It'll give  the others some company at the Seagrave Resort.

Probably no one.

But we have been linked with Ryan Kent, he's not really good enough, however I think he's better option from the bench than we currently have at least he's add a bit of pace.

Rudkin would still overpay on free tramsfers

Yeah and this thread feels like an April fools come early.

Let's just pay an old has been no one wants. Why not sign them all while we are at it.

Decent, him and 31 year old male from London who plays in red can compare notes...

Is there anyone who can split themselves into 3 and play centre back,  centre mid and right wing?

I think the priority is centre back.  We're terrible there.   But I'm not sure

Was about to say...couldn't believe he was a free agent when I read the OP but then remembered and it all makes sense now.

Brandon Williams is a free agent? And has been since last summer? Few years ago he was talked about being the business.

Strong Luke Thomas vibes, do we need another?

I'm not saying we need him and agree on the LT comparison. I'm just shocked hes a free agent, I'm sure he could do a job in the Champ.

Read that he accumulated 30 points on his licence and driven without insurance - so a complete b*llend then

Right now I'd take any of these over our current centre backs, and I am well aware most of this list are full of pentioners or players who've sadly passed on, and yes some like Konchesky mostly played as full backs, but beggars can't be choosers and I feel even in death they'd improve us at the back over where we are now.

Graham Cross, Steve Walsh, John O'Neil, Adam Black, Wes Morgan, Gerry Taggart, Richie Norman, Frank Sinclair, Steve Whitworth, Peter Rodrigues, Dennis Rofe, Simon Grayson, Gary Mills, Paul Konchesky, Ian King, David Nish, John Sjoberg, Jeff Blockley, Robert Huth ... my Nan ...  (I'm sure there are obvious ones I've missed from this list).

Big Dan has the joint highest market value on that list.

That tells you everything you need to know.

He would be better than 4 waste of space CBs we currently have and plays with more heart and fight than all of them combined.
