He may not be good enough for the championship but I'd rather bring him back and have him in the squad than ever have to see Winks and Soumare again. Think it's pretty clear we won't see Winks again fortunately but we are definitely short on numbers in centre mid.

Its not the 1st time we have heard this season he's been the best player on the pitch by both Newport & opposition fans, granted this is Lge2 but still, what does he need to show or adapt to play in the championship.
He's not going to be physically challenged (tackled) any harder, the role remains the same - break attacks & feed the ball, the only difference is the speed & time he'll have on the ball i guess (despite many saying its a poor league) but that generally is a brain & confidence thing.

Winks isn't the biggest but his brain (his football 1) allows him time & space & his confidence allows him to recieve the ball in tight situations knowing he can deal with it, Braybrooke has the brain & his confidence must be high with how this season is going for him, i'd be all in for bringing him into the fold in January, although i can see him staying also.
I'd suggest he's more of a starter than Page & Page is getting game time so no reason why if Winks is out the picture it can't be Skipp & Braybrooke for that role & use them both every game to keep tempo up.
This will save us on a perm transfer / loan fee to replace Winks & obviously his wages will be lower than anyone we could bring in, it also hopefully sets us up for next season for the same reasons enabling us to look at other positions.
Get him back & play him!!!

He has the profile we're missing in the middle of the pitch. Not entirely sure how he'd fit in initially though. We need the physicality of Skipp and James in there and Braybrooke is definitely not a 10. Perhaps if Braybrooke could sit at the base with Skipp and James as 8s, that could work. We could then use a normal front three or a front two with a diamond. We'd just then be sacrificing BDCR in the 10 position which seems to be going quite well at the moment.

Put him on the bench and bring him on to get on the ball later in games

He would be competition for Skipp

Gets involved defensively more than Skipp and is a lot more comfortable on the ball (stats are League Two vs Championship though obviously)

Let him cook.

If he's playing well, developing and building confidence then keep him as far away from our dumpster fire as possible for the rest of the season.

If he has any future here, it's not this year.

To an extent, I agree with this but he's currently in a shit team losing games so can't be great for his confidence. Ideally we can get him a loan up a level but not sure how likely that it.

Surely he has to come back in January. We’re already playing half the academy anyway, so there’s no risk in bringing back someone who’s been getting regular minutes in League Two and is in form.

It's not unknown for teams to recall a youngster tearing up a lower league, only to find them no better (yet) than what they've got.

Has to come back at the end of the month as we've barely any central midfielders and I don't want Winks or Soumare having to be turned to.

If he was on the bench last night, he would have been on for JJ no doubt.

Much better than trying to play BDCR there.

Would love to see him involved with our squad.

But thats the important point. Involved. What we can't do is bring him back to bench warm or not be picked and stop any game time he's getting, thus stagnating his development.

Bring him back with a fair chance to play.

Our long term CM options are Skipp, Choudhury and Page.

Integrate him now, even if he only turns out to be depth that's a hell of a lot better than using our limited budget on packing out the squad in the summer. He's better than that anyway, I think James will enjoy playing with him as he's more progressive with his passing and carrying than the others.

Mavididi            ST          Fatawu

    Braybrooke              James

             Skipp/Choudhury

Aluko/LT Nelson Souttar Pereira/Aluko

                          JS

Is the best we cobble together with a mind on trying to get into the play offs and having a long term outlook.

After last night’s woeful midfield display, if he gets around the pitch he’ll be an improvement! Apparently he wins a few tackles as well, again something we don’t do.

Personally I’d rather see him spend the second half of the season in L1. Yes we have some midfield gaps but for his longer term development it feels like the right next step. Then fully integrate him here next season. Probably in L1 😆
