Marti standing there with his shiny black shoes, completely clueless on what to do, game after game. Top's done him a favour and put him out of his misery.

Have any players noted his departure on social media yet?

Usually you get some thanking the sacked manager, taking some of the blame, wishing them well etc.

I guess 'they' might post things on Monday once the PR team is back in work...!

Shall we start a Martin (Russell) out thread ?

At least we'll only have to add an 'N' to the Marti out banners.  Convenient.

Was dealt a bad hand, and played it badly

The hand was far better than the one's that most other Championship managers were dealt.

I'd usually say this is absolute bollocks but there's been reports Rudkin waits for Top's orders on decisions and is nowhere to be seen.

What a way to run a football club.

The famed Enzo January window where the club was on hold for a number of decisions because Aiyawatt was getting married and Rudkin felt appropriate to be there for the full duration.

I'm unconvinced. We have mostly terrible players, paid a ridiculous amount so we can't sell and can't afford to buy. They don't give a toss, half of them want out, it was a terrible hand. He didn't do a very good job though.

I liked Marti at first but gradually it became  clear that he was struggling with his tactics subs etc. Trying to get  players playing out from the back who have no technical ability. Passing to players with no ability in midfield and in turn to forwards who lose every ball. He  inherited an awful squad and no money to improve it. An awful situation all round. King will take over but I hope the "fans" don't turn on this Leicester legend once it goes wrong again. He's got nothing to work with unless the existing players step up. Some of them are still capable but need a kicking. Like the look of Page though. Light at the end of the tunnel.

The whole three months tell you this club can process and make decisions through one person.

The writing has been on the wall for ages and then somehow he’s in the country for two days, things beginning happening.

When you meet anyone from the club, it’s pretty evident that a fair few decisions have to wait for Aiyawatt’s say. Which is shocking way to run a business

Unless you make those decisions remotely which he clearly can’t seem to do

I don't care if he comes out in a wheelchair phoenix nights style, there's only one man for the job and it's big Nig. Chrissy Powell and kingy on the coaching staff. Only way to stop the rot, let him rebuild the club for a third time.

So you'd like to make Nige more unwell?

Yep, an utterly bizarre way of working but also in line with my experience of South-East Asian business.

Can't understand why this doesn't have loads of likes. Absolutely on the money. You're bang on that the club simply isn't run 80%-90% of the time. It's a ****ing disgrace.

It just goes into autopilot unless he's in the country. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Was he lied to during his appointment process?

Doesn't matter really, even if he'd been given the money to bring in quality players, his tactical nous and strength of character weren't up to the job and we'd still be where we are now.

On the plus side, at least he's tried (albeit he's above his skill level) and not deliberately sabotaged us like the snake, Rodgers did.

And the Dutchman.

Have his people gone with him? Standard useless comms from the club on that front. Wondered whether we perhaps couldn’t afford to get rid of them too lol

To be fair Vichai always had the last say too. He was just always present as well and actually made use of and relied on Whelan, whom has since been wrongly forced out because of Rudkin’s boys club.

In many ways he was dealt a similar hand to Enzo.  I know Enzo had a transfer window and pre season but he also inherited a squad of demoralised want-aways.  Enzo galvanised his squad in short order.  The contrast with Marti is stark.

Overall, to be a given a £150m squad of players, almost all of whom have spent the majority of their careers in the Premier League is a hand that most of our rivals at this level would jump at.

Maybe all our rivals?  Man for man, who would we trade our squad with ?

(other than the 50 teams above us)
