Clearly not a market we would have been shopping in for many many years. However, sometimes someone might not be the most inspiring name but what you need at the time.

If we have any chance of staying up, we need someone who can address the defence. There’s obviously going to be a limit anyone can do in such little time and no recruitment but Rowett has as much chance as anyone. He will also demand certain standards in terms of effort.

Given how many want to give Aiyawatt chance after chance, and want us to back the players who have failed to turn up over and over again, maybe we give the guy who has literally played no part in it a chance? Let’s be straight, if we go down, it is not on Rowett just as 2023 was not on Smith.

This. Will hopefully build the defence around Nelson too.

Worth baring in mind with time at Birmingham he had them sat around the playoffs. After what looked a very smart summer of spending… they then decided he was too unfashionable and ended up getting relegated chasing more exciting names

also another huge positive is he absolutely for the best out of Ben Nelson

If look back lot of clubs where he has left haven't exactly progressed. Exception Burton Albion, though when he left them they were top of league two.

So, Top is going with his 3rd or 4th choice again? We have seen this before...

Hopefully, Rowett clicks with the squad and keeps us safe. He will need to get them working much harder at the very least.

Not who I wanted, but I will back him 100%.

I'm not sure it matters where on Top's list a manager falls, the guy is a moron.

Im just pleased we are bringing any body in.

In normal circumstances this would be uninspiring, given where we are as a club it was only ever going to be someone desperate. Not sure what people were expecting?

No manager worth their salt is coming here until the summer, they are waiting to see how the end of the season plays out and even then, people dont want to work for the idiots in charge.

Lets see how we go, much like King I wont be jumping on Rowetts back, hes going to try and it wont be his fault if we go down.

I think we are too broken to fix personally but if you were expecting a better "name" I think you need a reality check on how bad our situation is.

I thought he did well at Millwall?

He got the sack

Good managers get sacked all the time. We’ve sacked 3 of our most successful managers ever

He did a decent job, my point was that the clubs he left didn't exactly progress following his departure, like Birmingham fired him when they were in the play offs and by May they nearly got relegated under different manager.

I think i made my point that I dont think theres a lot a manager can do other than motivate, and Pearson can motivate. Of course he isn't my first choice or anywhere near my manager list if we were in a better financial situation, but im concerned Rudkin will sign a manager in some stupid contract, amd next season we're in league 1 going bust

If we had the chance to have Pearson back I’d take that in a heartbeat.
Definitely have him over Rowett.
Actually can’t think of anyone else I’d rather have over Pearson especially in the mess we are in.
