Given it's a fraud worth tens of not hundreds of millions, the files should be passed to the police for criminal investigation. 

And the owners should fail the fit and proper persons test immediately if, as I assume, they are named as a guilty party within the report.

Nobody involved should be near English football again.

They then changed the rules retrospectively, finding that club guilty of breaking rules that didn’t exist at the time and issuing a 6 points deduction penalty that relegated them to League One. 
 

This farce cannot continue.

A very good summary, the PL are as corrupt as FIFA. 

 

Back in 2009 I don't remember FFP even being a thing, so how many other clubs have got away with it? 

 

Its kind of ironic, FFP is endorsing owners like the Glaziers who have put Man Utd more than a 1 billion in debt to become owners, yet trying to put the cash rich Man City out of business.

It really is so corrupt and utterly disgusting when you put it like that. 

 

The PL find themselves in a mess though. If they dont punish Man City correctly, it will cause a huge backlash with the likes of us, Everton, Forest etc who have been punished for much less. 

 

If they do punish Man City, then one of their "golden 6" teams is effectively finished and will be relegated. 

 

Then there is the question marks over whether the talks of a European Super league would raise its head again. 

 

The "wretched 6" have held too much power for too long and it will be interesting to see if the PL has the balls to do the right thing.

The game got too big for itself. 
 

Bring back the days of Shipman and co, local businesses who would scrape £300,000 to sign a player like Alan Young.

 

Maybe they weren’t as fit, due to downing pints in town on a Thursday night, but they could still play and the days out were really enjoyable.

 

This saga will roll on for years, maybe titles taken away, what an absolute and total farce this is, but it also won’t be mended for years.

 

We have been involved too remember, we managed to be promoted in 13/14 with us paying an out of court settlement, so lots of teams are trying to find a way to break the rules that were set.

 

I am wondering whether this could cause real damage to the game. I’m currently going most weeks to non league, it takes you back to the old days, and I’m noticing more and more faces appear that used to go down the KP. 
 

Imagine being a Man City fan right now. Thinking they have finally been caught, but knowing all along what they were doing was wrong. 
 

It’s broken, not sure how this will affect the game in general, but for me it’s showing it for the farce that it has been for years, and it could cause it irreparable damage. Maybe the waiting lists for tickets are that long that they will get away with it, but it will certainly make people think differently from now on I would have thought

I've just spent a while looking through the thread about the charges on the Blue Moon forums.  Every single person convinced it's a witch hunt; the constant mention of lawyers and journalists being United or Arsenal fans is very, very funny.

 

Before they were any good, Man City fans were always good for a laugh on 606 as they were miserable and funny at the same time, with a self-deprecating wit that made them quite likable.  Not sure where they've all gone - didn't see a single post where anyone contemplated that they have actually cheated, however they frame any bias or unfairness.
