Fox92 Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Not really excited about this... At 35, he's no better than Morgan, Was or Moore for me. I hope Moore, currently playing for England, will not be sacrificed.

As for Upson: Excellent. Now sort out the LB, CM and forward situation, and we're cruising.

lgfualol Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 good signing in terms of experience I would like to see us sign someone under 35 for outfield positions.
FrankieADZ Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 unsure about it tbh...least hes decent cover if Wes,Liam or Wasyl get injured.
goose2010 Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Bags of experience, decent player that can slot in when required, a good player to have about the club I'm sure.
Captain... Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Good bit of Business, our 25 man squad is filling out nicely, but before anyone starts panicking there is still plenty of room in it to add some quality at the back, but his experience and reliability will be great on and off the pitch. It is also great we are getting good business done early, as previously mentioned, Derby and QPR don't even know which division they will be in yet and we have already made 2 quality additions to the squad, with a couple more rumoured to be on their way. A full pre season will be key to getting the best out of Upson and others, integrated into the squad and 100% fit and ready for the opening game of the season.

RowlattsFox Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Not thrilled, not in the slightest but Nige must have his reasons. It may be a show in faith that Moore can be first choice in the prem.
lavrentis Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Do not understand this. Always thought he was average in the prem.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 I can't imagine he's costing us much or that he will be a regular starter. Valuable experience and cover.

Spot on, we have to fill the squad with quality and we have done that with Hamer and Upson.
Bryn Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 I'm happy enough with this to be honest, he's a good player with Premier League experience. We absolutely need a first choice centreback though.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Do not understand this. Always thought he was average in the prem. What's wrong with average? Average is half way up the league - I'll take that!
Simmo86 Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 E I E I E I O, Back to the Football League we go...
MC Prussian Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Do not understand this. Always thought he was average in the prem. "Defending from set pieces."
Aarongu Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Good signing. Brought in for his experience, which can only benefit the squad as a whole.
Candidcamera Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 I do not know much about Upson but the difference in class when Curtis Davies came on loan was marked - he had time on the ball and was the dominant defender.
