Dan Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 Chris wood is a better player than Harry Kane! Scored a lot more when he was out on loan Please be joking. Please.
daddylonglegs Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 I really really really dislike Harry Kane. The ****er probably cannot believe his luck! A goal is a goal but jesus christ I could have scored that hat trick against us. He was literally handed three goals on a plate, zero skill required. Not having this 'right place at the right time' bollocks or 'he is picking up great positions'. he's just really really lucky
theessexfox Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 Thanks to him and a claim I made a few months back, I am now an Algeria fan.
Stadt Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 You'd think we had a suarez on our hands wouldn't you with the attention he's getting, he obviously has some talent but he's quite an average player who keeps getting the rub of the green.

HK18 Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Ha, keep getting the rub of the green He's scored 29 goals this season, 19 in the league and joint top scorer, think there's more to it than rub of the green.
LCFC FOX Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 to be fair Kane's had one good season. He was lucky that was a youngster at a top club. Seriously though wood scored a lot more and looked a promising youngster. Saying he's better is a bit far but let's see how Kane progresses. Still think wood could score a lot with that service though
AyewJoking Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 It just wouldnt be English if we didnt hate our best player at present.
theessexfox Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 It just wouldnt be English if we didnt hate our best player at present. I have no issue with Wayne Rooney, petulant though he was at the KP.
shailen Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 michu? grant holt? odemwingie? benjani? benni mccarthy? andy johnson? michael bridges? marcus stewart? all scored 15+ goals in a pl season, often a debut season, usually for worse sides than spurs. nearly all disappeared into obscurity when they remembered they were shit. Fair enough, all of those did show flashes of quality and I do agree that Kane needs to prove himself over a longer period of time, but he does look far ahead of the players you have mentioned. The thing about playing for better sides is that although you get better service, the defenders will be more wary of your threat and so will be as unlikely to leave space behind against these sides than say against the likes of us. And it is important to remember he didn't start a game until late October and yet he is leading the goal scoring charts with an in form Diego Costa, who everyone agrees with is in form. I've watched Spurs a lot this season, and he looks like he has everything. Strength, Composure, finishing ability and he is fairly quick. He makes that side look so much better than they are. The thing about Kane is even if he isn't scoring goals he brings a lot of energy and physical presence that the other players mentioned have not. Why he didn't perform for us is a mystery. I remember Shakespeare saying that Kane was doing unbelievable things in training which is why we kept picking him.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 I hope he does manage to keep it up, as much as this thread is tongue-in-cheek it can only be a good thing for England to have a forward regularly bagging in the top tier.

ScouseFox Posted 25 March 2015 Posted 25 March 2015 i would just like to point out nothing i said in this thread was tongue in cheek ps harry kane looks like someone's sewn his tongue to his cheek
Fox92 Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 His 2nd goal was going wide anyway It was but today it's been given to him.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 March 2015 Posted 27 March 2015 Who would have thought it, scoring for England on his debut... when he was here, he looked completely clueless, but wow he has improved massively
Steven Posted 27 March 2015 Posted 27 March 2015 Who would have thought it, scoring for England on his debut... when he was here, he looked completely clueless, but wow he has improved massively Was he played in his right position when he came on loan with us?
