HoustonFox Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 Absolutely agree with this and can't see why people don't want Sam. The only con is he plays "rubbish football" but West Ham were hardly Pulis's Stoke and I would hope Sam would see how the players we have play well and will adapt.Cheers - I'd argue he doesn't play rubbish football all the time but tries to build a base and then plays some attacking stuff. See: Bolton with J2O, Djork, Hierro Newcastle with Viduke Blackburn were ok - got worse/more violent under Hughes West Ham this season played some nice stuff too Anyway - don't want to appear a Big Sam fanboy, I'd love Klopp (can't think of any puns, sorry)
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 This club is more than capable of stunning us by presenting Nigel Pearson as our new old manager!
fuchsntf Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 We got thru at Cambridge by bribing the fella at the border with a sack o spuds.. We got thru at Cambridge by bribing the fella at the border with a sack o spuds.. Com on col, you can tell us, its out if the sack now!!! You were smuggling in the new manager, I knew you wouldnt let us down, just going away like that. Give that fella on the border, a few jacket potatos, just to prove you have nothing to hide. If he needs more convincing, hand over Cattermole as a swap.

Tuna Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 No direction, no idea, no hope. We truly are a laughing stock.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 No direction, no idea, no hope. We truly are a laughing stock.Funnily enough I was just sitting at home (in just me pants ) laughing hysterically at the club we all loveWe are so very funny And cringeworthy And stupid And idiotic And deluded We really have no idea I'm so ashamed to support us anymore Life can't go on . . . . . .
enmac Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 Just put EC on the board and leave it him. Sent from my BNTV600 using Tapatalk
The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 I'm surprised Fabio Capello has not been mentioned. why would he? If he wanted to return to club management he could do a lot better than us tbh.
suffolk fox Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 None of you have done your research. It's gonna be Bryan Robson ex Thailand manager their just fine tuning the paperwork.
SecretPro Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Some form of movement / news would be long overdue today me thinks. Sort it out Citeh (at least just give us a hint of whats going on ffs)
Babylon Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 The more I think about it the more I would completely rule out anyone who has been an international manager (besides their own country). In the main those going around other nations are just chasing the money and have lost the desire I think it needs in club management.
dylanlegend Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 The more I think about it the more I would like Dyche as boss. Gets the best out of players, plays good football, burnley didn't get thrashed by anyone last year with a much inferior squad. Seems like a steady "team building" manager to me- The nearest to Pearson we will find. Bunley fans would hate to see him go which I think shows more about how good a manager is than most things

RowlattsFox Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 When do we go to Austria? It really needs to be agreed by then, worst case scenario is before the first friendly. I find myself checking every singe thread on here in case there are any updates because I don't which thread any news will break into first.

Guest Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I think only Frank Burrows and his flat cap can save us now!
Guest MattP Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I'm surprised Fabio Capello has not been mentioned. I said this earlier, him, Lippi or Hiddink all look perfect one last big payoff.

Robin JD Popley Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I think given the process we seem to have set in place, we are after a completely different calibre of manager than last time around (sorry Nigel fans) despite some of the names the bookies have placed amongst the mix. For me, they want one thing - someone with a kudos to take us to the next level. They'll want him to be someone who has won probably all domestic honours going and almost certainly has Europe/Int. Management on the CV. That is why the likes of Hiddink and Ranieri I'm sure are being touted. Klopp obviously would be an incredible coup for us too. All I want us to end up with is someone who will sign top class players like Okazaki for fun and transfer us into an Europa League team again. There is absolutely nothing wrong with ambition. Don't want us to have to play away days at MK Dons any time soon...
FrankieADZ Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I said this earlier, him, Lippi or Hiddink all look perfect one last big payoff. Capello is still Russia's coach though isnt he. cant see him walking away from that(wants the pay off) even tho they've been crap...
dylanlegend Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 but wont spend a penny... If he had cash he will spend it. I don't think the Burnley board gave him the budget as he basically said in an interview when we signed Ulloa. Let's be honest he has massively overachieved with Burnley- they we favourites to go down to league one when they got promoted with us!
