No idea who this guy is mind!

With the clubs around them wasting no time this window, Arsenal have been trying to complete a deal for Football Writers’ Player of the Year, Jamie Vardy.

Last week, it seemed as though the deal was all but done but Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones has reported that that is far from the case.

Jones has a very good record so what he suggests should be listened to carefully.

Jones reports:

“Vardy is delaying a decision over his future but as it stands right now, I understand, he is leaning towards staying. He appreciates the faith (Leicester) have shown in him and remains unconvinced about whether or not Arsenal’s style of play will suit him as well as Leicester’s.”

However, the deal is not dead:

“If he has a major impact at (the Euros), there is still a possibility he may feel it’s a good time to make a big transfer so Arsenal are assured that they should not fear the worst just yet.

In addition to that, Jones also understands that

“Irrelevant of whether Vardy stays or goes, (Arsenal) will bid for Troy Deeney”

If they sack Vardy off and go for Deeney, I say we out bid them, PURELY OUT OF SPITE. To hell with the cost.

People who earn fortunes don't pay anywhere near 40%, thats why they have accountants, in much the same way as they have agents

Footballers are employed Premier League footballers pay 45% tax on their earnings...

Pretty sure their wages now get worked out to be that much after tax.

Really, so Rooney's gross weekly is somewhere between £5-600000 a week, if true that is hideous.

Nope. some of the high profile Spanish ones (messi/Ronaldo) or zlatan might but not here. If that were true, clubs wage bills would be doubled!

source?

It's dates back to when the aristocracy hunted peasants, they'd lighten their load so to speak in the morning to make them quicker in the chase in the afternoon once the peasants had got out of bed. Upon the sound of the hunting horns and the terrifying charge of the nobility, the peasants would poo themselves, hence the well known saying 'as common as an afternoon peasants poo'.

You learn something new every day.

Arsenal fans would be entitled to feel a bit pissed off if Man City get Aubameyang, United get Ibrahimovich and they end up with Troy Deeney!
