KingKoala Posted 19 April 2017 Posted 19 April 2017 I have a feeling that the match against Spurs will be the moment Chelsea is crowned.
lgfualol Posted 20 April 2017 Posted 20 April 2017 PFA team of the year How on earth did Alderweireld not get picked.

AKCJ Posted 20 April 2017 Posted 20 April 2017 I'd have Azpilicueta over Cahill and Alonso over Rose. Apart from that it's about right.
Ric Flair Posted 20 April 2017 Posted 20 April 2017 Rose was absolute quality up until his injury but as he's been out for about 3 months and Alonso has been superb it's an odd pick. Also I reckon Josh King has had a better year than Mane
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 20 April 2017 Posted 20 April 2017 Walker, Rose and possibly Alli - all the Spurs players except Kane - are somewhat fortunate to be in the team for me.

You kidding me? Alli has been ridiculous and defensively Spurs are one of the best in the league not to mention how good Walker and Rose are going forward. Name me better players in their respective positions this season? Alli has scored best part of 20 goals and a number of assists.

Alli? The same Alli who is currently highest scoring midfielder in PL and the tailsman that inspired Spurs to victories in absence of Kane not deserving of a place in PFA Team of Year? Sorry, but I just cannot see the logic in that.

But Walker and Rose, they're just overrated obotic overlap merchants with very little variety to their game. Off the top of my head, Alonso for Chelsea has been better as has Victor Moses, also Bellerin at Arsenal and they actually have a bit more quality and variety to them.

This year Arsenal fans say he has been woeful. No where near the PFA team of the year.

Bellerin is trash, pace merchant.

Tuna Posted 21 April 2017 Posted 21 April 2017 Former Villa and Boro defender Ugo Ehiogu has passed away following a cardiac arrest yesterday aged 44...so sad.
Lovejoy Posted 21 April 2017 Posted 21 April 2017 Sad news about Ugo Ehiogu. Solid defender in his day.
jammie82uk Posted 22 April 2017 Posted 22 April 2017 What are we hoping for today? The two teams directly above us are playing the two teams fighting for the "last" relegation spot

We're safe but not officially, let's not have any doubt there so anything but the two teams in the relegation spots getting a win.

Well spose so... but I can't see us getting less that 4 or 5 points for the remaining 6 matches which would undoubtably be safe, so it would be great to catch some of the teams above to get 9th spot and do better than Chelsea did last season.

Oh of course, the target is to finish as high as possible, which as you say realistically is 9th...we could finish higher but I can't see it, the gap is too big. But just incase i'd rather other teams don't gain on us! Swansea winning/Stoke losing.
