Cheers for an incredible year and playing part in the most ridiculous season I have ever seen.

Nothing but good wishes for him aside from when we play Chelsea. Only with us a year and always came across as a bit of an outsider so it comes as no great shock that he is willing to move on.

I was on holiday at the time, but managed to watch most matches at the Euros.  For whatever reason I only saw about 10 minutes of Kante playing, then he was hooked off at half time & I never saw him again.

 

I had hoped he had a good Euros - the same as all Leicester players.  I would be even more pissed off now to know I had cheered him on when he had already decided to drop Leicester & was effectively no longer one of our players.

 

He has claimed to want to play under Conte, because that's the best he can come up with out of a long list of shit excuses.  What else can he say?  He's never going to admit to it being about the money.

Highly doubt it was to do with any row/disagreement with other players, morale couldn't have been higher all last season.

Perhaps his agent is sometimes based in London and had contacts at Chelsea, Arsenal.

I have a theory; maybe he told the club at the end of the season he wanted to leave and we played hard ball with who he could go too. I find it hard to believe that he genuinely chose to go to Chelsea. We know his release clause was complicated, so maybe we refused offers from CL clubs allowing Chelsea to come in pay over the release clause and sign him

 

Just seems odd that no other club wanted to take him, even at £30m. He's work a lot more than that. 

 

It must be something to do with his release clause and selling to another CL club
