Pep doesn't fancy Hart and Sam said he's a quality keeper and wants to see where his head is and yes he needs to be playing! Smalling , been injured but is top quality and unquestionably on merit when fit so if he's fit he's in.Hes not made of glass like Willshere and some others.

Phube Posted 28 August 2016 Author Posted 28 August 2016 Stupid phone won't let me quote! Anyway, if they're not fit or not playing they shouldn't be in the squad! It's the same every single time!

His close control and ability to keep the ball is superb. Once Wilshere is 100% fit and playing games, he should be in the squad along with Drinkwater. They are words that simply don't go together.
Tielemans63 Posted 28 August 2016 Posted 28 August 2016 Drinky and Vardy are the two best players in that squad and I'm not even joking.
theessexfox Posted 28 August 2016 Posted 28 August 2016 I think Curtis Davies is looking like a far better centre-half than Phil Jagielka at the moment but I guess that's nit-picking.
Donut Posted 28 August 2016 Posted 28 August 2016 Antonio has managed to score a couple this season, but failing that he has been rubbish. He didnt get called up when he was actually in good form, and now hes in the squad. Smalling and Hart are still qualty players and deserve the callups. Rashford needs to be in the squad going forwards. Hes clearly an immense talent and versatile too

Wilshere is a quality player but unfortunately the 'when fit' only happens about 3 weeks a year and 2 of those are in pre season. Drinkwater is currently the best fit English midfielder as hopefully Sam decides to utilise his partnership with Vardy.

Wilshire may be quality but the difference between him & Drinky Is that he doesn't give a feck. Another of the "too much too young" brigade.
biggs Posted 29 August 2016 Posted 29 August 2016 Anyone questioning Drinkwater is a tool. He's the best CM available to England

foxy boxing Posted 30 August 2016 Posted 30 August 2016 drinkwater should have gone to the world cup we all know that and i think woy now knows that. he is one of the most consistent English midfielders and big sam has said as much and looks like he wants to start danny for the England team and with sicknote looking to go on loan from arsenal to get match time he should be ahead of all the other candidates. vardy just needs to keep banging in the goals for us and do as well as last season and he too will be starting for England on a regular basis or most likely be an impact sub that people other than leicester fans see him as for England
Stevosevic Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 Drinkwater has done an interview in the Times, i think, but you have to pay to read it online. Is anyone kind enough to share?
whetstonefox Posted 1 September 2016 Posted 1 September 2016 I'd like to think Big Sam would not take half fit players to tournaments, we've done it so many times and it's never worked. Drinkwater should have been at the Euro's and Wilshere should have been allowed to focus on getting fit for the new season. Anyway to late now, I rate Allardyce but the talent pool just isn't really there for England to seriously compete to win anything.
st albans fox Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Neither will start on sunday From a selfish perspective , happy that the boys will get a rest but it's a shame that DD isn't recognised as being better than Henderson. (Which he is). sticking with Kane on his own up top is no surprise.
Dan Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 I give in. There's no way the manager's picking the side. We're rotten to the core.
Wymsey Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Forgot the national team were playing. Makes it feel like a longer wait for the next club game unfortunately. Have no enjoyment of watching the national side as just few players take their heart and devotion to it.

Harry - LCFC Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Just posting the line up for those who've not seen it Hart, Walker, Cahill, Stones, Rose, Dier, Henderson, Lallana, Rooney, Sterling, Kane It's a very 'Hodgson' looking eleven IMO. I expected determined and effective players would be the ones who'd get picked under Allardyce. That's not what we've got here.
EnderbyFox Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Dislike international breaks at the best of times but seeing Henderson start over Drinkwater AGAIN just destroys any slight slither of excitement.
