So Huth and Morgans yellows or reds, even Drinkwaters werent stupid.

One game strung out games are easy to criticise..

Fuchs Morgan and a few more were damn poor for 1st game champions.

Morgan tends to lose high balls, Huth likes his arms just as much as Wasi...

Perspectives, and point where we tend to enjoy..in turning a blind eye..

They are far more composed , don't play the whole game on edge and certainly don't get sent off for what are complete needless fouls when not under pressure... That is the difference I'm afraid, and that is why Wes and Huth started every game possible last season

Was is cover. He'll play for us again if we get injuries later on in the season.

CL final, scores then gets a red, for kisding the ref.

A pl title doesnt make you suddenly angels..They have done more than v their share on unwarranted needless actions, and lucky

On more occasions not to see red...

Dont make Wasi out to be some ogre defender...His card count is not higher, even on ratio to any other PL defender.

Its just his last 2 yes  two  games, he made great cock ups, but then again Mahrez missed penalties..blah di blah

kind of enjoyable insane but that's the last minute of his last two meaningful appearances that he's cost us the game. bit silly. at least this time it was prob worth it to punch costa in the head. great way to go if that is the end of that.

He is a complete nutter on the pitch and always likely to cost us, but I think he is one of those guys that other players love having around, at training and in general. All the pictures and vids I've seen of training, he always seems to be centre of the banter and jokes or not far away. I know that shouldn't be enough to have him in our squad alone, but he is still a decent CB, if only he could keep his head a little more. Fair play to smacking Costa though! Who wouldn't want to do/see that! Just not when you're already on a yellow next time please Was!!

I think we will see him in the FA Cup and seems to be ahead of Benny at the moment. Interesting to see if he will be after tonight.

You can tell which people don't like him on this thread.

Nonetheless you can't defend that kind of ill discipline. We'd have had an even chance at progressing going into extra time with eleven men.

It could be the last time he plays for us but as 4th choice CB, he's at most 1 player away from the 18. An injury or suspension to Simpson, Huth or Morgan puts him on the bench. We have 19 games until the window opens, but effectively 20 as there is no way to get a new guy in the squad the day after the window opens. I wouldn't bet against him playing again.

I like Was and he's a great character but that really was stupid last night. I know we would all love to give Costa a smack as he's a total c*nt but doing that when already on a yellow at 2-2 was just stupid. It was always going to be impossible to beat Chelsea in extra time with 10 men and it also meant we couldn't bring on Mahrez or Kaputska. If we were 4-0 down I would have loved was to ruin Costa but not at 2-2

There's two aspects here:

For one, it was a stupid elbow challenge. With us drawing, Chelsea pressing and him already on a yellow, it wasn't the smartest of moves. You can also blame Ranieri for not substituting him for Benalouane, for instance. There were a handful of moments before the incidient where it was clear that Costa was simply too fast and too skilful for Wasilewski to deal with. Ranieri should've admitted that by bringing on a younger and fast defender. And Benalouane isn't a bad player, he's shown he can be as physical as Wasilewski if need be.

The other aspect is that Wasilewski should've known better, because he hit the No.1 drama queen in the league. Chelsea fans will adore him, but Costa's a right pr*ck, renowned for his playacting. You blow a bit of hot air in his direction and you can be sure he'll feign cruciate ligament damage. Right from the start of his substitution, you could tell how apt he is at that and what his agenda was when Drinkwater tried to tackle him from behind, but then decided not to pull through. Costa fell down like the most unfortunate bag of potatoes you'll ever see, spinning and pulling terrible faces as he was laying on the ground.

Unfortunate series of events. But overall, still highly unnecessary and stupid encounter that has in parts cost us dearly.

Completely liability. I don't want to see him play in the FA Cup either.

Does anyone know why Hernandez wasn't I involved last night?

thought he played well apart from his assist for azpil..................y'know

and his sending off obviously.

He's just such a risk to take because we just cant play when we go down to 10 men.

the red card was worth it

- less fixtures to deal with

- got to see wasyls ufc skills

Yup it was.

I can't believe how people have turned on him. Some even saying I hope he does Costa then turn when he has. Fickle fans moaning about a loss in a cup that don't really matter.

Yes a run would have been nice but the rolls were reversed. The so called big boy come to town playing a nearly full first team. The little club had to field a second string as we have CL.

Dilly Ding Dilly Dong wake up people we are Champions League.

obviously injured his elbow from all the elbowing practice sessions

****ing fantastic.

We should play him every time we play Costa. We should even look to appeal to the FA to change the rules so we can loan him out three or four times a year to other teams playing Chelsea.

Just so he can hit Costa.

Magic.

Always been a liability but got away with it most of the time.

Don't even know why we're starting a 36 year old when we've got other options.
