Vardy appeal rejected.

I'm not surprised by the verdict but still, nonetheless disappointed. I think that it might have been worse if he wasn't pushed as you could see what he was doing as soon as he lost the ball. That's the downside of his "pest" game and we have to accept that he's got a reputation for diving and being reckless now in the eyes of Prem refs, and they'll judge him accordingly.

If anything, it will spur him on and I think we'll see the benefits of rest and hunger in Jan.

Looking forward to the ultimate hoof pairing on Slim and Ulloa though!!

Expected nothing else from the old boys' club that is the FA.

Time for Slimani to step up and show why we paid all that money for him.

Think you mean Ulloa to step up yet again, and show we dont need these fancy foreigners... oooh, hang on a minute......

Not a blessing in disguise, we need Vardy at his best given our league position. Expected this result though, they have to condone the actions of the referee, no matter how bad. The ref was an absolute disgrace and should never step foot on the field of play of another professional game.

It's about time the Premier league broke away from the FA and controlled it themselves including installing ex-players as referees and paying them good money to attract them to the game as well as introducing a proper system to analyse key decisions that allow the refs to be over ridden during the match. Also the game is subject to so much in depth analysis from sky and BT etc. that, at the end of the day, is pointless if retrospective action can't be applied. Surely the old duffers at the FA actually watch what we watch and can see an obvious wrong decision. Clubs have too much at stake to be controlled by an amateurish and out of date governing body.

Ridiculous decision! Two seasons in a row now Vardy has been made an example of by the FA.

Luckily compared to last season I feel this is not such a problem. With Slimani, Okazaki, Musa and Leo we have people that could step in. Slimani will be off soon for AFCON but the Musa / Okazaki combo looked good against Barcelona of all teams so I think we have enough to cover this year.

Given what the ref's are told to about players having both feet off the ground whilst tackling this was never going to be overturned.

Let's move on.

Bad timing this. Struggling to see positives. After his 3 goals he'd have been high in confidence, and a confident Vardy is typically a clinical one. Looked very sharp before getting sent off.

We ain't got a game till Boxing Day we need something to pass the time, an OTT witch hunt is right in order.

i say we take it a step forward and grab the pitch forks and torches.

Unbelievable. A yellow would have been harsh.

Still, gives others a chance to stake a claim.

The problem with Video Replays is who makes the decision?

Is it one person or a three person panel with majority rule, it doesn't mean

the right decision will me made, it's subjective unlike goal line technology.

We can't even make a definitive decision on a largely biased LCFC forum!

A video referee.

Both suggestions could work, though I'd prefer one person to a panel to reduce time.

I think an appeal system would be a better method to introduce.

Offsides, Penalties inside/outside the box, deflections for corners are not subjective.

Handballs inside the box, particular tackles, particular penalties, simulation are all subjective, but need assistance, all can decide games or not.

Jamie Vardy's tackle was "subjective" but was ruled to be a foul 3 days after the moment occurred, it could have been decided there and then, everybody has to accept the decision and that's that. No need for FA Appeals.

I'm sure not too far away, it may already exist, but a complete image mapping system of the entire game will allow the video ref to look at the decision from a full 360 perspective, not just the replays from the cameras on offer like we currently use.

I imagine it will be like Hawkeye in Cricket but with the complete pitch and action to playback.

I know it questions the entire integrity of the game, but Ref's need help.

And like I say, it works in other sports so why is football being left behind.

... I have to say I'm not surprised at the outcome, just based on the out of touch dinosaurs in the FA pyramid (... sorry but old boy network is equally as outdated!). However, the club now has a duty to be bigger than the FA themselves, respect the  decision (irrespective of it being incorrect ... yellow was more befitting!) and move on with their heads held high.

Whilst it remains easy to slam Pawson (as he is very clearly out of his league ... no pun intended!) we should remain above the pettiness if we truly want to become the club to look up to!

The FA board know they are in their death throws, they have more skeletons in the cupboard than a morgue assistants cadaver store ... the sex scandal of kids in academies and the hideous nepotism that they perpetuate should be their undoing and hooray for that ... when, and only when we see the back of these disgusting individuals will we finally see the game in England come into the modern world and free from their greed and personal corruption ... onwards and upwards with honesty and integrity for Leicester City I say ... ?

The FA obviously thought that Pawson's decision making was spot on. Mixing up those two Stoke players was a mistake that anyone could've made as they are so similar, almost twin like.

Totally agree can see why it's such an easy mistake to make

People? You mean the selected people you want to quote.

Many have said it isn't a foul, or that a yellow was enough, including experts/pundits/ex referees.

Its divided opinion, and the FA have decided that there isn't grounds the overturn it. Don't confuse that would 'we believe it's a red card offence' they probably don't.

therefore people have every right to feel aggrieved. Is there any pundit/ex ref etc that has said it's a nailed on red? Genuine question?

You said here though. It's "divided opinion".....so it can't be defo.

What do you expect from the FA an out of touch organization where the words 'common' and 'sense' have never appeared in the same sentence.

I don't expect it to hinder us too much as other than the City game, lets be honest Vardy has been more or less useless.

The Prem was known around the world for its hard hitting energetic game where diving was looked upon as cowardly.  Now diving seems to be tolerated and an aggressive game punished.  The FA has turned English football into a game of weenies.  Perhaps the yanks are correct about the game after all!  FA wankers!

There was no way on earth they were going to overturn the decision after the public hammering Pawson has got over the last two weeks.

As bad as he has been no way we're the FA going to metaphorically nail him to a cross.

Spineless and pathetic but the way it is.

The rejection of the appeal isnt THAT shocking. Its not like the decision couldnt have been argued it was a red.

Lets just regroup and push on. Might even be a blessing as Vardy and Slimani is still an unconvincing partnership for me
