It's not a good point, a good point is away at Liverpool or Chelsea. It's a shit point

An away point against your bottom 6 opponents, is far more usefull than pointing against top 6.

We took a far too defensive attitude into the 2nd half.

Best game from our 2 CBs all season...Also their CBs stood up and cleaned up poor through balls.

Turgid game.We need more positivity when moving forward from midfield.

Okazaki covers well those midfield spaces, but loses the ball in good positions when striving forward.

Marmite type of player, I suppose..

Ok return for Mendy, but love to see him not just in a defensive mode. Now I want him to pick up game time c and

intensity when attacking.

You have to look at this game in it's context.  We really are in relegation danger, we are playing one of our rivals, we are missing several first teamers and AFCON is around the corner taking three more.

On top of that our away form has been beyond dreadful, so we have gone back to basics and tried to make ourselves hard to beat first on the back of a home win.

Job done.

Good point

This. All of this.

Happy with that. Crucial point away from home and a great defensive display. 2 games in 3 days is mental.

The moaners need to chill.

Boro also played 2 games in 3 days, so it equals out.

Still not an excuse for zero attacking intent. Ironically, this setup is probably right for Liverpool, Chelsea, and Utd, but we'll probably revert to 4-4-2!

Jesus so many people in this thread showing delusions of grandeur as a great man once put it.  We got a point and a clean sheet away from home in the Premier League, the game wasn't the most exhilarating one ever played but before last season we'd all be saying what a solid away showing that is for a PL match.

We had to get back to basics and getting involved in a boring game away from home, without our best two attaches is acceptable tactics.

We played pretty poorly at Palace and  Watford last Spring, plus naff against Newcastle and Norwich, but nicked a goal in each game, so nobody minded.

However, with Mahrez having lost his magic in front of goal, 0-0 was always on the cards, particularly after the first 15 minutes when it was clear that both sides were lacking any real quality on the day.

Happy with the point, lets regroup and get everyone whose available fit for Chelsea.

But how depressing is it that this season is our only chance in a lifetime to push on and become legitimate contenders, and it's all been frittered away in 6 short months.

We were never going to the next Man Utd, but the failure to build upon the Championship rather than revert to norm is so disappointing.

Contenders for what? If you really thought we would suddenly be a big club over night then you've set yourself up there for a fall. It takes huge amounts of sustained investment to get you at the top regularly, way beyond what we can afford. Even then it's no guarantee.

We've not be great this year at all, we all know that and we know we can be better. But we're 3 points of 9th place and you look at the table from 7th down and there isn't much to choose between any of these teams.

ranieri has accepted we are in a relegation battle and today used a formation and tactics and got what he came for.

i can understand he doesnt want to risk too much by going all out attack and leaving our defence exposed.

some people still ignoring our generally poor form this season and expecting better than what we are, maybe get 10/12 points away from trouble before we start going all out again??

What a waste.

...of time to come on here and hear Leicester fans - fans of the Champions of England - complain like so many entitled fools. When we find ourselves in circumstances like we are, here in the bottom half, not too far off relegation, on short rest, then the team must play to their circumstances.  We have done then, and are beginning to build a base for the second half campaign.  We need to get enough clear of safety that we can bring our young players along, and build a pipeline for continued growth in the league.  We were never going to just instantly be top 4 material on the back of the title win.  Surely you must realize this.

This. I'd rather take a point today and look positively upwards than look at being 7 points off the bottom 3!

An away win is better, an away point means you're in the same position as what you were before

Exactly 7 points off the bottom three, 6 points off Everton in 7th. A mild upswing in form and see us rocket up the table, I really don't think we can get much worse than we have been.

Last season may well have been a one in a million, all the stars lining up and all that bollox but we are the current PL champions and to have regressed to our current level is almost as remarkable as winning the league.

It's not really though is it?! I don't think we were 5000/1 to get relegated this season.

It's a worry that we need to start winning away games as we can't be relying on beating Chelsea Manchester Utd and Liverpool in our next few home games

Wouldnt it be hilarious if we did that given how we have played this season?

if you don't win though, getting a point is the next best thing.

How are you in the same position when you gain a point lol

No, but we could of been hovering around 6-7 with the chance for a late surge into the Euro places, like the play offs used to feel. To drop so far so quickly is really disappointing. Last season we were nicking games like this, whereas today, at no point did we look like that was a possibility.

We've stopped attacking matches.

For the people who are saying its a good point they want to have a look at our next few home games. Not many points will be coming our way.

how do you know?

Surely it is a good point if you think we're not gonna get any points in future?

Babylon in playing anything down shocker!

Once more, I doubt anyone thought in our wildest dreams we'd do what we did last season.

Neither did most of us think we'd have to endure the shite we had to today. And to attain 3 points from 30 away from home, without a win all season.

If you're trying for perspective, lets have some maybe?
