Need to keep 3 in the middle- it has served us well so far, and if we turn up without sufficient cover for the back 4, the game will be over by half time.

It will have to be very much a Leicester performance- defend like beavers, keep it tight, win the ball when possible and hit them as hard as we can on the break.

Musa to come off the bench when required.

I'd go for this apart from swapping Albrighton and Gray. Think Fuchs would need more help than Simmo.

Just realised this is a Sat 5.30 kick off. Much prefer that over 12.30 noon kick offs.

A 4231 or 433 is a must if we want something out of this game.

Agree with both statements.

for me there are only 2 decisions to make team selection wise and they are left back, stick with Chilwell or bring Fuchs back and striker, reward Musa with a start or bring in Vardy, assuming he is over that virus, personally I'd leave Chilwell in and give Musa a start

Schmeichel

Simpson Morgan Huth Chilwell

Mendy Drinkwater NDidi

Albrighton Musa Gray

Irrespective of the formation that we choose, we cannot afford to play a narrow game (as Claudio prefers) as this allows easy access to our right and left backs. It was quite obvious that had Everton had the quality we would have been punished severely. We need to give more cover to our defence especially down the channels.

Blimey, it's a right roller-coaster on here! From despair a couple of weeks ago to quiet confidence against the league leaders. Let's hope not back again. Probably largely a function of the number of miserable bleeders who have absolutely nothing at all to say when we we've won...

Only heard the mid-week game but I thought Everton in the league were the second worst team we've played this season. As such, a win against them in an early cup round keeps my expectations in check of us repeating the performance against what is surely the best team in the league. I'm way more excited than confident. But that's a lot better than being confident we'll get slotted..

The potential midfield battle though... Do they collect stats for the amount of time the ball is in the centre-circle?

Same. Got a feeling it'll be a bit like the man city game and we'll win comfortably.

It was doom and gloom on here before the Man City game. We had just gotten demolished 5-0 to Porto away midweek, but we turned up the following Saturday.

I don't think Conte will make the same tactical errors Pep made. It'll be a much tougher game. The Man City game was probably the easiest game we've played this season.

Must point

Yup, I'd go with that except Albrighton to start and bring on Musa after 70 mins if we are behind.

Man City cockily underestimated us, TBF. I can't see Chelsea making that same mistake.

  • Costa has had a hand in 11 goals in his last 11 Premier League appearances away from home (nine goals, two assists).

  • Antonio Conte's Chelsea have made the fewest changes to their starting XI overall this season (19), although 10 of these have come in the last five matches.
  • Conte has not lost two successive league matches away from home as a manager since May 2011 while boss of Serie A side Siena.
  • Chelsea won more Premier League games in December (6) than Leicester City have done all season (5).
  • 18 of the 21 Premier League points that Leicester City have won this season in the Premier League have come at home (86%).
  • The Foxes will be missing three players for this game due to their involvement in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations: Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani and Daniel Amartey, who have provided nine goals and six assists between them in the Premier League this season.

Can see it being a good game for the neutral, one of those that if we turn up could go either way, just hope we keep the confidence running off the back of the FA Cup game going into this!
