Oh man the shite they're spouting on BT right now is painful. They haven't a clue. Apparently we shouldn't appoint CS because he's unproven and let CR down as part of his back room staff. The players should apparently be ashamed of themselves for their performances this week!! All are in agreement with this.

ignorant picks.... their fairytale ended poorly and they're incapable of reason

their pitiful minds are all of the same mould....

Good. I think Vardy feeds off this stuff.

If Shakey can pull of 3-1 against Sevilla, he will be the best number 2 I have seen for some time!

A good number 2 is one of life's joys.

shakespeare is the overwhelming best option.

he knows the club and players and vice versa.

the players seem to want to fight for him (for now:P)

cant understand letting him have the rest of the season then getting in someone long term, he is long term!!

been here a while already and experienced moderate success.

Just watching MOTD and Keown was basically slagging Shakey off for jumping into Ranieri's job and saying he should stick to being an assistant while we look for a big name manager. Fvcking monkey faced cvnt!!

What if we appoint a new manger and we lose the next 3? Not inconceivably with our form this season.

First back to back wins and I think the owners like to play the odds which is with Shakey in charge the likelihood is that we'll stay up

"Players didn't do what Ranieri said... they are snakes"

"Shakespeare did what the owners asked... he's a snake"

Makes sense.

The last 2 matches have been up there with the most enjoyable this season and the players clearly enjoy whatever Shakespeare is asking of them.

I'd definitely be offering him the job until the end of the season whatever happens from now onwards.

However I can't see him being a long term option. I really worry for him, if he has the respect of the players now I fear he will suffer a similar issue to claudio, not in the way of tactics, but the minute he actually has to buy a centre back and drop the bottle of rum or opts for leo or slim over vardy, starts gray week in week out over the clearly loved marc.

What happens then. Same outcome as claudio I fear. The club maybe more together now. And I'm sure shakey learnt a lot from Nige and things behind the scenes will be happier as well but I feel we may have more issues down the line if this bunch of players think they can run the club from the dressing room.

Surely a certainty until the end of the season now. Would be a big risk to upset things with a new manager coming in when the players look fully behind CS

Yeah I was amazed when he started spouting his crap about Shakey, it doesn't sit well with him that Shakey wants the job, like it's a kind of betrayal of CR, what is he talking about? There has been many an assistant promoted after their boss has been fired, not just in football but in all walks of life, idiot pundit.

Though I was against Ranieri's sacking, I recon it requires a Trump-like level of stupid to even THINK about replacing Shakespeare now.

They can review in the summer if necessary

Step forward Jonald Trumpkin

My thoughts exactly.

I rate Shakespeare and believe he will keep us up and should keep the job til the end of season.  It is known however that he is close to the players and for that reason it won't work for him when he has to step back and become manager and make ruthless decisions IMO because the players think he is their mate.

Some really good points in here and obviously the sensible option is to appoint CS until the end of the season.....however, I have my reservations longer term. Craig is widely regarded a fantastic coach so straight away we have a gap to fill as he will need assistance....plus being a Top No 2 and stepping up has a histrory of not working. Shakey may want the opportunity as it is natural to want the ultimate job but I just wonder if Shakey may regret it and potentially we lose a stalwart who is great at his current role.

How the owners manage any short and medium term transition will be a real test for them and others (SW and JR) .....they have got most things right so far hopefully they navigate the next chapter!

If it works don't fix it.

If the owners are tempted to bring in a high profile name over a man who's doing the job well would someone kindly direct them to some Birmingham City supporters.

Still don't understand Keown's argument that he shouldn't have the role..

The players appear to be playing under no pressure and feel more freely than under the latter stages of Ranieri's reign, and are responding positively against the threat of relegation.

Hence they are happy with playing currently and morale is high and perhaps can't get any better and are playing back to their strengths and guidance under Shakespeare. So why can't he take it then?

I've just been watching BT Sport premier league analysis show. It's got Gerrard, Ian Wright and Rio Ferdinand who were criticising Shakespeare (the fans for chanting his name) and the players again. It's quite clear these guys have no clue of what was happening to the club or how Shakey was being treated.

Apparently, according to them Shakey should be criticised for not helping ranieri and the players should be ashamed for turning it on under him. Quite rich considering Ferdinand's performances under Moyes, Wrights vendetta against Bruce Rioch and Gerrard waiving the white flag when Rodgers started protecting him.

In the mainstream media it's unfortunate that Shakey isn't getting the credit he truly deserves for letting the players, play there game. Something they quite clearly haven't been allowed to do for some months.

Don't worry Shakey, your name will continue to be chanted.

The more these 'experts' put us down, the more of a siege mentality it creates for us. Bring it on! The Arsenal 'title winning selfie' motivated the players last year and hopefully the players will revel in all these negative comments.

The criticism from Keown really shocked me last night and I think Gary was slightly lost for words. Why should an assistant manager not have ambitions to better himself? Craig was also recognised as a potential England no 2. It is still early days but the team are certainly playing a more intense game and are making their own luck.I still don't know exactly why the change has occurred and I think this is what the pundits enjoy speculating about as it looks like completely different team.We seemed to have attracted criticism for turning it around not to mention sacking Claudio.Don't think we are going to be popular whatever we do but things look a lot healthier than a week ago and we can enjoy the Sevilla game.

Would give Shakey the job until the end of the season and take it from there.

From now on we will be damned if we do and damned if we don't !

Everyone wants to put their pennyworth in regarding how Claudio was wrongly sacked and how we've destroyed the dream la de la etc, but Keown Gerrard etc can go and kiss our royal blue Arses!!

Our owners may have made a mistake the way Claudio was sacked but as footballers they must realise that football is a performance related business the lower in the table the more likely you are to lose your job as a manager, they all wanted us to be romantic and keep the manager that steered our bunch of so called no hopers to a Premier League title but that was all and good and I was one who said give him time but it wasn't going to get any better no longer how much time we gave him !!

We don't know whether Craig Shakespeare found the missing ingredient or heaven forbid the player started playing for Shaky but for one thing he has us playing like we're we're most of last season and for those pundits who say shaky didn't help Claudio in his last few months are talking out of their Arses and they ought remember about times they had with certain managers they didn't get on with and their attitude Stones and glass houses comes to mind!

Bit whatever shaky achieves with this team will always be scrutinised under the microscope and commentented on by these gobshite Tw@s but at the moment and with those two results from the last two games show shaky is the right man for the job and I for one and I'm sure all of you will back our manager and our team 100% and those pundits can just eat their words by damning shakey !!

Onwards and Upwards and in Shaky we trust and in shaky we chant !!

Would love to know what Claudio thinks about our current revival under his erstwhile assistant.

Do we think the pay-off came with a gagging order?

I imagine his ego must be taking something of a pummelling.
