Two tricky games, six vital points, 6-2 aggregate victory, entire team playing out of their skins on both occasions, everything suddenly simple again, crowd in good voice, positive publicity in abundance and fans streaming home with big smiles on their faces. If all that doesn't convince them what else would?

They have the luxury of holding fire until results get worse. They should just keep Shakey as interim. If we start losing games, then they can hire someone. If Shakey leads us to safety, then he should get the job officially. If they get some dinosaur like Hodgson in while we're winning and putting in good performances, I will be absolutely gutted.

Being an assistant, he is pretty close to the players. Maybe we counter act that by getting a horrible bastard as his assistant instead. Announceshakey!
