Clubs like Portsmouth, Coventry, Blackpool etc. have more right to be pissed? They were all in the Premier League not so long ago. The rot that lead to where they are now had to start somewhere and maybe more fan action at the start would have prevented things going so far. Often fans of other clubs dismiss supporters of other clubs as having delusions of grandeur etc. When they do not see the full story of what has happened to that club. We should know this as much as anyone in our recent history. I am sick of anyone who shows any sort of passion for their club being treated like hooligans and thugs. As a collective football supporters need to stand together against the likes of the Venkys, Ashley, Oyston etc. The money men who are taking the game away from its true supporters. I don't think going on the pitch during the game is a great idea and this was the catalyst for the ugly scenes in the stands. The chanting towards the directors box, however should be applauded. Anyone remember doing the same at Filbo over the years Pierpoint etc. For what it's worth West Ham supporters were sold a dream and they see Gold, Sullivan and Brady lining their pockets and taking them away from their home, ripping the heart out of the club and that's not ok! The protest towards the directors box is 100% legit but the pitch invasion was horseshit. Unfortunately for the West Ham fans the damage is done. The owners traded in a wonderful warm football stadium for a god awful antiseptic athletics stadium & there is no going back ! I see West Ham going down the toilet one piece at a time. If they avoid relegation this year then it will happen next year or the one after. The club has been ruined by shit ownership. We are so lucky to have the ownership we do but never believe that is forever. 3

Super_horns Posted 11 March 2018 Posted 11 March 2018 The only thing that protest seemed to do was affect the West Ham players who needed some support having just gone 1-0 down.. Mind you cannot be surprised - there was supposed to be a protest before hand which got cancelled due to a threat of violence.

Of coursethey're not real fans. Real fans support the team from first whistle to last. These idiots are not martyrs ffs. They're thugs that can't hack the fact they're a miserable mid table club that has a serious inferiority complex because of the success of the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea.
EastAnglianFox Posted 11 March 2018 Posted 11 March 2018 Only just been able to catch up with MOTD, not seen much of him as a pundit but pretty impressed with how Frank Lampard comes across, seems to just say things how they are without any kind of bias or agenda towards any particular club. Also said Vard's goal was his favourite of the season so far. 1
CosbehFox Posted 11 March 2018 Posted 11 March 2018 The best thing West Ham could do to hurt Sullivan and Gold is simply stop attending games.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 11 March 2018 Posted 11 March 2018 West Ham fans have been badly let down with that stadium, but they’ve let themselves down too. Having been there this season to see our match they really made some noise, it was intense for quite a while in that 2nd half. If they behaved like that for 90 mins the players couldn’t help but be motivated.
Corky Posted 11 March 2018 Posted 11 March 2018 It has also overshadowed why Joe Hart was dropped. That third goal would see Schmeichel get lynched on here, spilling a straight shot and being beaten to a rebound. 1
KFS Posted 11 March 2018 Posted 11 March 2018 (edited) What on earth did they expect? We won the fvcking league and have struggled to push the top 6, let alone top 4. Ground expansions come last, the infrastructure around it is more important. Youth and training ground setups are much more important to the pushing of the top teams, not the size of the stadium. Monumental fvck up from all involved at West Ham. And I fvcking love it. Edited 11 March 2018 by KFS
st albans fox Posted 11 March 2018 Posted 11 March 2018 If their recruitment had been better and they had employed a better manager and therefore been comfortably in the top half of the table these past two seasons, then they wouldn’t be complaining. They would put up with the stadium if the stuff on the pitch was acceptable. It’s always about what happens on the pitch. would they prefer to be a yo-yo club at the Boleyn or a good prem club pushing for Europe every season at Stratford? suspect most would accept the latter. The fans have been let down by decisions made at board level (haven’t we all over the years) but moving on its own isn’t the root cause.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 11 March 2018 Posted 11 March 2018 Here's a click bait style article... on yesterday's Utd vs Liverpool, but I have included a Leicester one close to the top; https://articulatelive.wordpress.com/2018/03/11/442oons-do-it-again/ So you know... click on it! (To add; personally I hate inverted pyramid style click bait articles, but sometimes you have go the way the industry is going )
Biggus Posted 11 March 2018 Posted 11 March 2018 I am sure there are some decent West Ham fans but as a whole I have found them a loathsome bunch. When leaving our stadium I often walk around to the front via the away fans but for a few teams I won't because they are menacing: West Ham and Leeds top that list. Don't forget what they did to the Man Utd team bus a while ago. Their Directors have sold and cashed in on Upton Park and traded for a (low) lease on the old Olympic park - in other words they don't own it. Looks like an asset strip to me. They didn't spend the Upton Park proceeds on players so I do have some sympathy for the (decent) fans. I can see them going the way of Leeds and Coventry not to be seen at the highest levels for a decade or two.

Apart from the fact it wasn’t mostly chanting and it was mostly foul and abusive language You do realise there wasn’t just them in there, there was Burnley dignitaries with their families in the box also with the club paying tribute to Bobby Moore there was ex-players with their families in there

Yeah, but with clubs stock piling players these days they'll overlook that. The cost is peanuts in today's market and the thought of "if we have him, a rival won't" will also come into it I imagine.
