If Mahrez goes, we should chase Rachid Ghezzal on a free. Very 'Mahrez' but without the step overs.
Steve Earle Posted 5 August 2017 Posted 5 August 2017 CS has been consistent in terms of the numbers he wants. Before Iheanacho signed it was 'two or three'; after the match last night he said 'one or two'. Plainly there are offers in for a number of players, not just one or two, but there don't seem to have been any leaks at all. We don't even know - though we can guess - what positions he's looking to strengthen in. I suppose in a way I'm complementing the club on how it's doing it's business, like the Iborra signing. But of course like all on here I'd love to know who we're after!
desertfox2 Posted 5 August 2017 Posted 5 August 2017 How about Mario Lemina from Juve? West Ham and Stoke heavily linked and told he can leave for 18m but supposedly Stoke are in for 13.5m. 23 year old, good work rate, if Drinkwater leaves he could be a very good replacement. Thorgan Hazard definitely has to be worth a go and Smalling at the prices being banded about looks a bargain. All should be fairly realistic as long as no major sides go after them.
casablancas Posted 5 August 2017 Posted 5 August 2017 Emre Mor linked with a move to Fiorentina for as little as 9.5mil from why I have read. Bags of potential, young and very direct. I'd take a punt for that price.
matty98 Posted 5 August 2017 Posted 5 August 2017 Ryan Fredericks from Fulham, good attacking RB with pace and only 1 year left on his contract

Has had a medical at Southampton apparently
Steve Earle Posted 5 August 2017 Posted 5 August 2017 For CS to get the players he wants, and to keep those he wants to keep. Simples.

If Drinkwater goes he could be a very decent replacement. Covers a lot of ground. Hard working. Young. Wins the ball back a lot and can play. Fits our style as a CM
Bryn Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 I'm reading that Liverpool are resigned to having to loan Sakho out again because they've had no bids. Why on earth aren't we in for him?
hatasi Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 I've just read that Payet has been sold to Marseille in winter for just 25millions why on earth we didn't get him !

kingfox Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 If Drinky leaves throw all the money at Remo Freuler or Asier Illarramendi.

Has an eye for a pass and can turn players for fun. Though in all honesty I think you'll see him in Man City's starting 11 this season.
foxfanazer Posted 6 August 2017 Posted 6 August 2017 Iver Fossum, young Hannover 96 midfielder. Great hair
AjcW Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Would love us to rival Celtic/Nice for Patrick Roberts on Loan. He can play anywhere across AM I sometimes wonder if we feel we are above a PL loan, look at our competitors in the middle like Watford, West Brom/Ham and Stoke... they always make use of Man Utd/City Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool youth prospects.
Harry S Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Need to get a youth player on the squad harvey barnes cna creep in somewhere in the cam role behind iheanacho or vardy or loan someone like phil foden or brahim diaz both promising talents.
Ric Flair Posted 8 August 2017 Posted 8 August 2017 Can't believe we aren't in for Fosu-Mensah, he's unreal. I know we don't like to take players on loan we have very little chance of signing permanently but right now we badly need a dynamic right back and he ticks all the boxes short term.
