We'd still be subject to FFP regardless of who wanted to own us- we couldn't go round paying 100m for every player... besides, FFP is a uniquely British thing.. French/ Spanish teams don't have to adhere to anything like that...

Gylfi Sigurdsson has been left out of the Swansea team to face Sampdoria amid speculation of a move away.

Everton have had two bids of £40m-plus rejected by Swansea for the Iceland international, Sky Sports understand – however, Paul Clement has confirmed talks are ongoing with another club over the possible transfer.

Now we've signed Iheanacho, how does he fit into our 4-4-1-1?

 

Unless.. As crazy as it sounds, we sell Slimani & Ulloa and have Vardy, Sigurdsson, Iheanacho & Okazaki competing for two positions. Seems unlikely though.

Starting formations from the legendary England defeat during the last Euros. Gylfi played central midfield, as he has done a number of times for Swansea.

 

He can play LCM, Left Wing, as the Forward Left in a 4-3-3 or as number 10.

 

I honestly think we are going for him. Given our prize winnings and budget we have plenty left in the bank. Shakespeare has said he rates him and we know we put a huge bid in. I think we want him more than Everton and will pay the player a better salary.

 

Will probably sign for Everton having said this, but the fact that we are known to have made a 40M+ bid for a single player but have not been linked with any other player anywhere near that price makes me think we are still targetting him.

Its funny that we have "fans" slagging Mahrez cause he wants away but Gylfi has pretty much gone on strike to force a move and we embrace him... Strange World !!!

If rumours are true, drinkwater wants Chelsea move, and alledgedly willing to force the move ( how true, I don't know), and Chelsea willing to pay 37 mil.

37 million for Danny, pay 50 for sig, be more than happy with that if it pans out that way.

Would be a bit nuts to be leaving a big signing on the bench so couldn't see it. Unless we were thinking of shoving Sig on the wing or as a cm, or switching to another formation.

Sigurdsson and Ndidi as CM and our side looks a more creative if we swap Okazaki and Drinkwater for Iheanacho and Sigurdsson.

Just pay the ****ing money and get him in. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we lack creativity, we lack a decent set piece taker. Imagine, penny-pinchers of FoxesTalk that we have somebody able to whip a ball in from a corner, from a free kick FOR ONCE IN OUR LEICESTER SUPPORTING LIVES. Imagine the elation when we actually manage to clear the first man, beat the wall, hit the ****ing target!
