Despite being England's record goalscorer (a feat helped by playing 13 more games than Charlton, 39 more than Lineker an a staggering 62 more than Greavsie! (2nd - 3rd - 4th goalscorer respectively.)) I've always thought his best position is a support striker, centre forward, no. 10, call it what you will.
st albans fox Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 Can we close this now? - it's a bit depressing to miss out on a player like this and debating Everton's transfer policy ad nauseum doesn't really belong here either.

Moshri made his money on the back of Usmanov and he is backing Moshri. Usmanov is worth over 15 billion USD.

Most fans of clubs like United and Chelsea and Man City that I know find it pretty amusing we won the league. It's no biggy for them, they're used to winning or being in contention anyway. It's definitely the fans of other mid table club that have been saltiest about it. For sure, it's the "that could have been us" brigade that hurt the most.
Wymsey Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 Everton make a revised offer of £32m. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4678626/Everton-set-complete-32m-deal-Gylfi-Sigurdsson.html

Everton are targeting the top 4. I have a feeling that they might be disappointed.

Everton are being run now by a billionaire BUT all this spending is being funded by a Chinese bank loan facility I smell Leeds united situation ....

I thînk it's pretty obvious that if usmanov gets control of Arsenal that Everton are left to drift. alternatively, if he has to walk away from Arsenal then Everton will be an easy walk in for him. Looks odd to me that moshiri is funding the club but kenright retains half the shares. I expect there is alreday an agreement in place that someone with a name ending in 'ov' is entitled to buy kenright's shares for a nominal sum if he so wishes. of course if everton don't make the breakthrough into competing in the CL then he can look elsewhere. pretty shady as you can't have big stakes in two clubs on the same league but then how much do we know about the true ownership of the major shareholdings in most of our clubs now.

Bluearmyfox28 Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Boudebouz or Ziyech please.... Or potentially both if Mahrez goes.
Bezzanator89 Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Think its time to put this one to bed and close the thread. This clearly isn't going to materialise or turn into something from a Leicester City perspective.

Ric Flair Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Just shows what Mahrez should fetch as well. One is a PL winner and POTY winner aged 26, the other is a class PL performer over a few seasons but with a reputation for perhaps not quite being one of the best.
kingfox Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 £50 million He's worth 25 at most, time to pass on this one.
