If the owners have done their sums and with the sale of a few players to balance it up then why not. If they are gambling on us being top 4 then i'd think it's too risky. Europe would be a bonus but not at the expense of the whole club

£50,000,000 for a Swansea midfielder????.   Get the feeling that footballs about to implode in the near future. Should be a £150,000,000 total team spending cap for all clubs in the prem

It will do... the internet will put an end to it like it has done to many other things. Illegal steaming has exploded and people will continue to watch it and sky will continue to lose subscribers. I must know 20 people alone who scrapped Sky sports and bought a dodgy box instead. Multiply that around the world and their / other TV countries subscriber levels will have plummeted.

Next step will be changing how football is watched I think, they'll cave eventually and let people just buy a streaming season ticket for their own team.

Doesn't matter, he was voted the top player in the country by his fellow professionals. Something that sigurdsson  can only dream of.

You can't help but think he'd take us to a new level. It's a big if, but if he played a big part in getting us consistent top 8/Europa league then would he be worth the money?

The club are showing great belief and ambition if the bid is true, regardless of whether we actually sign him or not.

Nah its someone that Spurs deemed not as good as Eriksen who would easily fetch 80/90m in this market.

So basically exactly what I said?

I'd wager this £40m bid isn't even true and that we're being used to rinse Everton of more cash.

Well yeah but you wrote it like they thought he wasn't a good player.

If they sold Eriksen they'd definitely be back in for Sigurdsson.

but just think..

                          Vardy

Albrighton      Sigurdsson       Mahrez

              Ndidi              iborra

What about Iheanacho, Drinkwater and Gray?

No defense could become a problem but it's more fun scoring goals anyway.

I'd rather the club spent £40m on a stadium expansion.

The great thing is, we can afford both.
