I am amazed at the number of doubters. What more could the man do to deserve a chance? Anyone with a modicum of common sense could see that the slow end to the season was a combination of factors such as resting players before cl games or playing sides who are still a level above us, not to mention some poor reffing decisions.

Obviously there is some risk but there would be with literally any manager.

I would have gone for someone else if it was down to me but I'm still hopeful with CS at the helm. I hope he can recapture that initial determination that the side displayed and we can challenge for a European finish and maybe a cup. It will be interesting to know who he has in mind for transfers both in and out.

Amazing isn't it? Hilarious that some wanted Big Sam.

Why finish 12th under Shakespeare when you can come 14th under Allardyce?!

Not delighted, not disappointed. Just interested to see how he does. There's a massive rebuilding job needed at this club and I hope he's the man that is able to do it.

We've got a good few key players but the squad needs and injection of quality and the starting XI could do with having a few years trimmed off the average age.

Good luck Shakey and please get some staff in. Coalville town have a bigger backroom coaching staff than Leicester at the minute! haha.

To be honest, I was expecting a name with a bit more pedigree to it, as it could've potentially helped attract more high-profile players.

But with all his inside knowledge at the club, his efforts as an assistant coach and interim manager, Shakespeare deserves a shot at it.

He has my full support.

Now for the transfer window...

Think it's the right appointment, honestly don't think the manager was a big issue for this season coming up. It's all about the recruitments Macia makes, Shakey knows our style and isn't afraid to go gun ho if we're struggling

Can't help but feel this was a rushed decision.

  • Craig Shakespere signs 3 year deal, Teresa May wins by a landslide Donald Trump to receive an apology from the FBI and all charges dropped. Great day to be a blue.

And it's pissing down again and rain is blue.

Must admit, that I was kind of hoping for some big name hotspot especially a german one, but Shaky know this club inside out and actually did a pretty good job getting us out of relegation troubles. Hopefully he turns out to be an inspired choice.

Some delusions of grandeur on here, I was hoping he'd get it on a 2 year, but 3 years gives a vote of confidence I guess, like others have said the recruitment is more important than a manager, an it's all well an good having a big name manager, but he would want big name players that probably wouldn't fit the philosophy of the club.

Now that the decision has been made I hope we can all look forward to a period of success and stability.

It is essential we start the new season far better than we did last year. Points on the board  in the first couple of months are critical if the season is not to be a washout.

It is also essential we strengthen the squad as quickly as possible.

Macbeth

Not entirely convinced if I am honest, but now we have a decision and the uncertainty is over. The owners have got the big calls right in the past few years  so he has my full support.

Now go and buy some players!
