There is nothing wrong. Deal confirmed from both parts just waiting for approval. Paperwork always needs time. We're surely not the only club who's waiting for their approval.

We can have a deal with the club but not have done the paperwork in-time/properly. Anyway, we don't know... so no use anyone worrying... but as I said, when someone says 'nothing to worry about' then there usually is an issue.

"I am at the hospital, nothing to worry about, I am fine... yeah, two broken legs... yep, still alive"

Yeah, that's not a concerning tweet at all!!!

Whenever someone says 'but nothing to worry about' it means there is something wrong.

Yeah but don't worry about it.

That's not how it works. Sporting cannot make up their own rules as they go along.

Yes, it's how it works. Deal is a deal, signed contract is a signed contract that both parties have to fulfill - and Sporting did fulfill what's supposed.

It happen before:

Sporting sold a player and gave what is needed in time, but Nice didn't put the papers in time in france football association. Nice tried to give player back and don't pay, but Sporting didn't accepted and in the end Sporting did receive a portion of the payment - by FIFA order.

It was not Sporting fault, as I said.

As I said, I do know better what Sporting statements means.

Again:

I don't know if Sporting CP really released that statement about on it's end the deal was done in time.

Problem with Sky and Merson giving us a B+ for our transfer window dealings and the smack head left out we had bought Silva and Sky are worried they might have to admit we had a good window

I think we are pretty much agreed by the sounds of it, you're just a lot more lenient on the club than I am I think. I'd just like for us to step out from the norm and do what's best for us, rather than using an excuse of "well most clubs do it this way, so you can't knock us". If you get it out into the media that there's an internal deadline for key squad players then I don't think anyone has a leg to stand on if they start whining after that deadline has been met.

I feel like we were spoiled with Pearson, I had complete trust of the club while he was here. I find myself questioning if the club are performing as well as they can a hell of a lot more since he left.

It could be to do with us being in the top division now and agents/foreign clubs playing a bigger part, as well as everything being reported on. I never once felt we were being shafted or unprofessional when Pearson was knocking about though.

Anyway. I've been shopping, has he been announced yet? :D

I agree that with Pearson we were solid but I dont believe its a like for like situation. That was then but this is now as the ABC song goes.

Pearson would find it difficult now due to the clubs slightly higher standing in the game. Some of the players we've bought since he left would have been out of his budget and if he was still manager there wouldn't be a whole lot he could do about a Kante or Drinkwater leaving for a bigger club.

Even if we miss out on Silva I reckon it's been a smashing transfer window for us overall. Although you might not think it reading here before 11 last night.

He returned to Sporting, never signed for Nice and never played for Nice fella. The Court of Arbitration for Sport declared him a Sporting player.

If Nice were made to pay, they would have held his registration, they didn't. You can't get the money and keep the player lol

Yeah, it's hard to judge the 2 situations as like you say, he spent the majority of time in the championship. His team brought in Okazaki and Fuchs though before he was sent packing, spotting where weaknesses needed upgrading and bringing in players that would improve us.

Lack of right back aside, I'd say we've signed quite well this summer. Though I'm struggling to see where Kelechi fits in unless we are going 3 5 2.

perhaps that makes more sense if we are going more 3-5-2 but then we have no RWB cover either !!

This is painful. My working day has been royally screwed up.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'd be delighted to see one of those cringey awkward welcome videos right about now.

I stopped following yesterdays drama here after lunch. Worked out fairly well.
