Australia's PM, Scott Morrison, is known as @Scomo (his twitter handle)

He has been sold as the "daggy dad" just like all the rest of us Meanwhile he has locked up innocent refugees on prison island for SEVEN years. He recently sent a family to prison island even though the entire community they were living in begged him to not do it (cruel, plus costing literally hundreds of millions of $$).

But hey Scomo's great....and the gullible drink it up.

Have the numbers of people dying in boats trying to get to Australia dropped since the offshoring policy was introduced?  We have the same issue from France to the UK - utter twats selling people the idea that they can live a better life in the UK than France (which is utter nonsense, although obvs the football is better) and so we get miserable stories like today.

There has been a reduction in deaths at sea (although the numbers are nowhere near the amounts that are put about by Murdoch and the Libs) However, instead, those people are dying in pox ridden camps in indonesia etc. Reducing deaths at sea is not an improvement on increasing deaths on land.

Either way, that is not the issue....

Picture how old you were 7 years ago, remember what you have done experienced and enjoyed over the past seven years, the loves, birthdays, football matches family events, nights down the pub... everything

Now picture you have been in prison for those seven years, seperated from the people you love.. and you have done NOTHING wrong, youve not broken the law. Maybe youve grown from an 18 year old, to a 25 year old.

Now picture you are a happily married couple, living in a small outback town, youve had a couple of babies, that have grown in to little girls, you work in town, you and your partner volunteer in the town, you children are part of the towns community and sports etc.

Now picture, the police come to town, pick you and your children up and ship you off to a prison on an island, a prison that has NO OTHER prisoners other than the four of you... the local communty wants you back, they petition the government and say that you have been valued and important members of the community, but the government keeps the four of you locked in a prison, having your baby children marched to school each day by a security officer.

While all of this is occurring, tens of thousands of people are moving to australia, happily welcomed, because they have $$$$ in their back pocket.

By the way... the cost for locking up two adults, one baby and one child on christmas island prison...  $27,000,000.00 a year

https://www.sbs.com.au/news/christmas-island-detention-centre-cost-27-million-to-detain-four-people

This is about colour, religion and wealth, deaths at sea is a distraction.

Heath Ledger was annoying as Hell as the Joker and would never have won the Oscar if he hadn't gone and died.

It was a unique take on the character and he stole the screen in every scene he was in...rebuttal?

Instead of manic insanity, all we got was chronic over-acting. Also, in the hospital explosion scene, he walks away looking like he’s just had a massive dump in his pants.

On a film-related theme, No Country For Old Men is grossly overrated in terms of its premise (not the acting, that was superb from all comers).

I like at least a hint of escapism in movies, if I wanted to watch what is essentially a real-life fallout over drugs and money I'd go to to the right place around the world and just watch it there.

A ban on heading in football should be discussed by football bosses.

That would be just another nail in football's coffin.

Might as well go the whole hog and make it a non-contact sport altogether.
