LittlethorpeFox Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 Lee Marshall, away at Leeds last game of the season once (or around the last game). Harry Kewell twisted his blood

I remember one abysmal performance at Bolton, 2-2 draw in 2002, this was the game with about 3 red cards. Might have been late 2001 that game. 2-0 up and then they got level in injury time. Sky had a microphone on big sam for that game iirc.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 This guy was a joke, although I do think he also suffered from having stupid blonde bleached hair that made him stand out a lot on the pitch.
kingfox Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 Watching Ryan McGivern get destroyed by Ivan Sproule of Bristol City, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Keown was total joke and the worst defender i have ever seen at Leicester he was a total disgrace. The others were just had no skill, which isnt really their fault, Keown was just stealing a wage from the club, which is in-excusable.
Foxes1 Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 Remember we signed one from Man Utd the headlines on the placards for the good old Leicester Mockery were 'City sign international defender from Man Utd' great I thought we are going up in the world. Till I saw who it was Brian Carey. Also remember Norman Leet don't think we actually signed him or he came up through the ranks, but he always seemed to run around like a headless chicken.
winteriscoming Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 Alan maybury and paul konchesky both I thought were dreadfull.

Wymsey Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 You could say Tunchev, to some extent. There were big hopes about him but, like Stephen Clemence, injuries messed up with his opportunity at the club.

Spudulike Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 I think, in his own mind, he was using us as a stepping-stone towards his inevitable breakthrough into the Manchester first team I remember a match (can't remember who against) when McGivern got a smack in the face. Looked horrific at the time but to his credit he carried on and did alright (in his own way) with tissue paper stuck up his nostrils. He also did ok on one occasion as a makeshift centre-back when someone got an injury. Other than that, he was rubbish.

Tunchev was really steady, shame about his injuries but there’s no way his name should be in this thread

Kitchandro Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 'kinell - Konchesky and Tunchev being mentioned in the same breath as Ryan McGivern, not really on tbh.
Corky Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 There was a match where McGivern was brought in after the warm-up to replace Bruno Berner who was injured and the crowd collectively groaned when it was announced
Koke Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 Pearson usually signed good solid competent loanees. This one is up there with one of his worst signings.
fuchsntf Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 I dont, understand, for the life of me, why this topic is supposed to show... why chase a negative past...
fazzyfox Posted 3 November 2017 Posted 3 November 2017 Not quite as bad as McGivern and a few others and responsible for a couple of positive memories (cracking long range goal and also played in the Derby play off win) but Gary Coatsworth's tackles were so late his yellow card would arrive in the following weeks match! Gave his all but had the technical ability of a pub player (after a dozen pints). A scruffy ugly hard bastard but he was our scruffy ugly hard bastard!
