Stoke Post Match Thread 2-2....again

Hughes is a twat - pumping his fist and saluting the fans making out he's some kind of tactical genius. They're losing at home, so he throws on a 10 foot striker and chucks the ball into the box...tool

Different game if Mahrez would have put Vardy in for 2:0. Frustrated with that. BUT I am enjoying Puel's Leicester. Got us playing some exciting and incisive football.

Lol, then add to that Iborra's header, Okazaki's miss and go on. Mahrez still getting gets singled out although he did SCORE.

he scored and set up the ball for maguire to have an assist. is he the only one held responsible here!

I am just talking about that one moment, not overall performance. That moment was a key moment. He had no good reason not to make that pass.

Kind of feel disappointed that we didn't win, but then again, Kasper kept us in it, so happy we didn't lose.  Guessing a draw is a fair result in the end.  Room for improvement though..

We're absolutely shit at defending set pieces.

Join the club!

Decent game for the netural (probably be better than Chelsea v Man U!)

Mainly because you took the lead twice meaning Stoke had to come out and attack using their no so secret weapon from the bench!

You guys looked good on break with the pace outwide.

Draw was probably fair in the end.

Thank god we have a world class goalie, absolutely rubbish when Iborra went off. Frustrating really

Fvck me, that’s harsh, that was on the whole a reasonable performance and result, Vards should have buried his chance second half.

Nacho is the worst lcfc player in a long time

Harsh.

I’ve told you a million times not to over exaggerate :P

Points dropped but overall a good display. Unusually nervous at the back today I felt, and once Iborra went off we lost our control of the game. Nacho needs time but he has yet to influence a game for us, other than by giving away needless freekicks!

But regardless of the result I was very encouraged by what we saw today. We looked progressive and forward thinking. Notably playing the ball a lot more and not just looking to hoof. In terms of stroking the ball about that's the best we've been for a long time. Had we been more clinical we could have run away with it, but if it wasn't for Kasper we could have lost it!

The Puel era has started well though.

underwhelmed with the second half changes but in the end glad we didn't lose it all! Kasper MOTM... I hope that is nothing serious with Iborra. He has to play even with one leg in a cast... I dread to think about King back in our midfield

Think about how abject we were at times last season. At times last season you knew we were going to lose the match after about 10 minutes.

This is a world away from that.

We look awesome going forward at times. We are making progress. Just need to tighten up at the back.

The future is bright.

Maguire is pants at times... cost us twice today, where's Huth

If Maguire hadn't been drawn in there's no space for Shaq's 1st, if he hadn't have lost Crouch he may have got a head on that corner

Very disappointing...

Still, that lack of midfielder was what really changed things, James, being injured & Silva unavailable is costing us!!!

Stoke are absolute poverty, really poor to have two points from games against them and West Brom. Relying on a 36 year old abnormality to lump the ball into. Could have and should have won it and been comfortable.

Think we look like progressing. Was sceptical about Purl but actually quite optimistic that we'll be one of the best of the rest come the end of the season. Like Iborra and Ndidi as a pairing.

Could of easily won, could of easily lost.

Kasper made about four crucial saves today, hero.

Defence still worries me, Morgan has been the only real standout lately.

Iborra and Ndidi partnership starting to work well, hopefully Iborra is ok.

Another good performance from Gray.

International break then Man City

I LOVE Mahrez. I'm not one of those who have been on his back. But he deserves some criticism for that particular moment.

Frustrating that we were on top for most of the game and couldn't capitalise on it but a point away at Stoke is becoming all too much of a regularity!

About time Fuchs was dropped to be honest. Give Chilwell more chances as Fuchs has been a bit ropey recently. Off-form and I doubt even he would argue against it.

Happy for Iborra's goal. Not happy he had to go off injured. Pleased with chances we're creating though overall. A far cry from the 'boring' label we were expecting to see based on Puel's appointment. If this is how it's going to be when the front four of Mahrez, Vardy, Okazaki, Gray are on form, I don't see many problems for us. On another day we're 4-1 up at half-time but not to be.

Given Stoke took points off Arsenal and Man Utd earlier in the season, I won't complain too much and have knee-jerk reactions that we've drawn. It's a good start for Puel and overall the team are in form, unbeaten in 4. Next game is big after the international break. Biggest test for us in a while against Man City.

Wow! Good to see the usual inane moaning on here, singling out performances!

It was a decent game. We looked comfortable throughout. If anyone deserved to win, it was us. Which is decent for the Away team.

I get the impression Iheanacho doesn't want to be here and thinks he is too good for us.

He doesn't seem 'up for it' whenever we see him. Slimani should be ahead of him in the pecking order until he decides he is willing to put himself about a bit.

That said, we predictably looked blunt and low energy when King came on.
