After last night I'm not even sure what full strength is anymore lol

Surely this is the most incredible thing of all about about our recent form! Actual strength in depth.

I fully expect Andy King to Maradonna his way past 5 Palace players and smack it in the top corner on Saturday, followed by Ulloa coming on and scoring a Pele like overhead kick from Escape to Victory.

All this "we don't know our best team" and "Puel knows how to rotate", Puel would have got absolute pelters on here if we'd lost last night. You only have to read the first couple of pages of the match thread that the mob were frothing at the mouth and pitchforks on standby if it went wrong because of his team selection.

I'm happy to back Puel in whatever he decides is the best teams to select over the next week.

Our best team in my opinion is:

                      Schmeichel

     Simpson Morgan Maguire Chilwell

                      Ndidi Iborra

            Mahrez Gray Albrighton

                           Vardy

The problem I have is with Vardy's fitness. We can't play him in every game in these upcoming games, but with Slim going, we are left with Ulloa, Okazaki and Iheanacho, none of whom I am THAT confident will score against Man City.

Play as strong a team as possible to keep momentum going, whilst understanding the importance of keeping the squad fit for 4 league games in about 5 days over Xmas.

I'm convinced Man City will play as weak a team as possible (which will still be a very strong team, all things considered), surely they want to win the league by Feb and then go all out for the Champions League, this game will be a huge inconvenience for them.

The winners of this cup get a few £m, absolute peanuts! No wonder teams in the prem don't give a rats about it, its worth more to rest players here and go all out to finish 12th rather than 13th!

We can retain and attract players with European football. The league cup would give us that. But now every top 6 club accepts Man City have won the league they'll be thirty for any silverware. I reckon the league is our best bet. Besides, we've already won the league cup and it's hardly glamourous.

Do you agree with you tbf, the likelihood of the big boys winning this as well as the FA Cup are pretty high too, meaning 7th will be a place for a Europa league spot, which currently seems more achievable than winning this competiton, however silverware is silverware at the end of the day and there's no guarantee we'll get past the qualifiers.

Am surprised with how black and white the results have been tbf, I'm quite mixed on this.

full strength cup and league.

I'm not the oldest leicester supporter but not the youngest either.. but some of the best days, apart from the obvious winning the league were in the 90s going to wembley and the semi final games - and all those play off final games... so to go to wembley to compete in a cup final is a magical feeling and one i'm sure we'd all love to relive - or experience for the first time if you're teenager.

winning the league, as incredible as it is is a different kind of emotion to a cup final.

We have players more than capable of playing in the first team so no reason why we cant make a few changes. Bring in Drag, Amartey, King and Iheanacho whilst still having players like Gray, Mahrez and Chilwell in the side.

The FA Cup is the one I want though. 4 finals without winning it still gives me nightmares.

It's a difficult one obviously I want us to do well and win the League cup but I just think certain players could do with a break. I don't think vardy and ndidi have missed a game yet and don't forget we played a strong side against them in the League and still lost. I'm sure theyll make changes aswell but there strength in depth is greater than ours. Imo it will depend on the result against palace as after the man City game we have a tough run of fixtures (man utd, liverpool Chelsea).

Definitely full strength. You'd think pep will put out one of his best sides himself; so this game can be a good indication of how far we've come under Puel in such a short space of time, I suspect we'll still lose to this amazing team but you never know!
