Would be an excellent addition and would be a similar player to Vardy bar his work rate and aerial ability, we should be interested in him.

Not sure if this post is a joke or not... so basically he has pace. May as well sign Usain Bolt.

Another overated  player touted as the next big thing when he left Southampton to go Arsenal done absolutely nothing of note since . No one knows his best position either

Vardy is good on the ball. So I assume he's saying he's good on the ball?

Walcot mostly plays out wide but has a better than 1 in 4 goals per game ratio, also please consider that the 400 plus games that he has played is at a high club, european and international level.

he has scored over 100 plus goals and is only 28.

I am not sure Usain has the same football attributes pal.

My point is the elements you highlighted that Walcott hasn't got are absolutely key to Vardy's game - mainly his workrate. So if you take that away from him you are basically talking about pace.  And as someone quite rightly pointed out you are left with Musa.  Naturally my Usain comment was a bit tongue in cheek made to emphasise the lack of comparison.  That said I read the other day he once held talks with Fergie.

Are you all joking. I wouldn't touch him even on a free. He has delusions of grandeur and is overpaid beyond belief. Despite Arsenal never finding the right striker, he is in and out more than a confused brexiter!! Arsenal have flattered his ego and miss advertised his talent for years by upping his salary. But rest assured he's bang average, clueless on the ball and expensive to boot. Nooooooo.

I get your point but I'm not talking about just pace, if I was we should just re-sign schlupp.

You don't play over 400 games at the top level if all you have is pace.

Apart from Vardy Walcott is better than what we have at the minute. He’d fit in with our style of play and can play down the middle if we don’t have Vardy fit.

6th best team in the country who have been willing to get rid of Walcott for years as he's grossly overpaid on £140k a week. Arsenal still don't want him despite Sanchez and Ozil looking like they'll be gone in six months.

He'll go to Everton and be terribly average. There are loads of examples when a squad player from a top club moves to a level below and still don't stand out because people assume these players are still amongst the better ones in the PL when the reality is they're just ordinary PL players. Iheanacho for starters.

Walcott's game is based on speed, when does he ever show real talent with the ball? I'm also wary about signing players who are at Walcott's age and have been at a top club all their career. By moving down a level they've conceded they're not quite top level standard and I worry that their motivation isn't quite there as instead of chasing trophies they're at clubs that success is a good cup run or a 7th placed finish.

Bang on. Martin O'Neil was always ante this type of player as the hunger has gone. Save for Cottee and a punt on Stan. Much better to get players with a point to prove = hunger to succeed. He's trousered a fortune at the gunners. Do you think he's bothered about little old Leicester?

Not sure where to put this. House-hunting at the moment. Was on rightMove today looking at a property in Nether Broughton that’s up for sale. As I was browsing, I thought “this so looks like a footballer’s house. Then noticed a football picture on wall in one room. Followed by another of a City player holding a trophy in another. Would wager money it’s one of our lot. Anyone recognise him ? My eyes aren’t sharp enough to work it out!!!!!

I'd take Theo Walcott.

Would suit us, he's a good player when he gets consistent game time.

15m and a reasonable wage would be a good signing. He'll score goals for Saints or Everton. I don't think we're in a position to turn our noses up to players like him.

No though I do love the idea of him spending a decade at Arsenal thinking he's going to be the next big thing and win every trophy only to realise a) you're at Arsenal, b) you've won bugger all, and c) little old Leicester have beaten you to winning the Premier League.

Imagine the tears.

He's done fairly well so what you say is borderline muck, however right now he's not worth the risk. We don't need him.

I don’t think it’s  borderline muck  like you say he’s done ok but I remember when he signed  from Southampton and people were raving  on about his potential and he’d be a world beater and England shining star  but it just hasn’t turned out that way. He’s  got 65 goals in 269 appearances whilst  it’s not shit it’s not prolific either .
