This was exactly my line of thinking till yesterday. But if this was the strategy, he should have chosen Drago over Morgan, and put Barnes in the team. Mahrez will more than likely go in the Summer so why continue to start him, especially as he appears so disinterested? He's paying the price for picking underperforming senior players when this is the absolutely the right time to be giving the academy players a chance.

Same here. I turned yesterday. The selection of Morgan is baffling.

And as for Morgan, it’s all a bit embarrassing if he doesn’t realise he himself can’t cope with the pace of the Premier League anymore. Carthorse is being kind to describe him yesterday. Top top sides move people on, and he he should have been moved on at the end of last season.

Morgan was this season, before New year defying his years, and was playing well, but even then

I believed he should be phased out over this last part of the season. Not against him getting that

New short contract, but my expectations would be for cover, and for coaching.

Hes now,Like many CBs in the evening of their careers, been found out.

Hes worth an extra year, but not has first choice...We dont want to be a Club who dump

our legends, but do need a show Bline hard descision needs, from management and coaching

Yep same three.

I recognised this is a transition phase but yesterday was a joke. Again, I turned with the selection of Morgan and publicly saying he could well be given a new contract. It shouldn't even be up for consideration.

But who picks the team? Surely Puel? It is not Morgan's fault that he keeps being picked. If Puel stuck with Dragovic maybe we would have convinced him to sign for us permanently. A big opportunity to get a decent CB for a fairly cheap price in today's market gone. I wouldn't want to sign for Puel if I was Dragovic.

Understood the want and need to change our style and plenty surplus to our future plans out on loan. Injuries have robbed him of a few players but the decision to recall Big Wes did it for me. Take nothing away from our PL winning back four but they don't fit the bill going forward. Drago plays more like the style he wants has done nothing wrong yet gets dropped. Not being able to drop certain players does not bode well.

He needs to go now, yesterday was embarrassing, 5-0 vs Palace? absolutely ridiculous! Why he keeps picking Morgan over Dragovic is beyond me? what does Morgan have on him? Move him on for the good of the club and for Puel himself, he can't be enjoying all of this surely?

Rumours are that the owners want to keep him and invest in him for next season.

Where have you heard this?

I want to back him, but feel after yesterday it is difficult.

Add another here too. All for stability but the selection decisions yesterday were a joke.

They will be investing in him, by paying him off when they sack him.
