Twice Lamela has blatantly fouled to stop a City attack knowing full well that if it doesn’t get called he’s got a clear run on goal and if it does get called nothing will happen to him. The rules should properly balance risk and reward in those situations and right now they fall well short.

There's an interview with Top floating around atm that I missed back in 2016 where he admits he laughed when Walsh first asked him to sign Vards but that he was convinced to and is glad he was. The likes of Ngolo would have made it big anyway, he was already wanted by France bigger clubs but those two are both well aware they owe Vichai and Co a lot. They owe the whole set up; the club, the staff, the team and the owners for how they've developed how they have. The respect between the core group and the owners is obvious to see from the pictures etc. Events like this can only bring the team closer together.
