But no one thought Gerrard would 'slip up' against Chelsea a few seasons ago when they were on the verge of winning the league then..

irishfoxkev Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 4 defeats now for Pep’s marvels .......Makes our feat of only losing 3 more incredible ??

After the next three, I reckon. Liverpool have us, West Ham and Bournemouth, Man City have Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea. It could be around 9 points in ten days or so, then Man City will focus on other things when the Champions League returns.
ian_marshall Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 Can't understand what all the fuss is about regarding Mahrez not playing this month. How's Pep supposed to pick him when he's away on his annual trip to Charles De Gaulle Airport?!?
sm1 Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 Last season Man City had such a large lead they played with no pressure. This season Liverpool have applied the pressure and Man City have crumbled. Even Pep seemed bored with his team.
SAFC1 Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 Absolutely pathetic from Manchester City tonight. Could see the equaliser coming a mile off, Guardiola’s figure on the touchline said it all.

That's because they have no leaders, no one to keep them hungry on the pitch, and I have the feeling they'll win fvck all this season. Watch them crash out the CL as soon as the opponent is a bit experimented.

Yes absolutely theirs to only throw away now now we have the unbearable scousers dribbling about the title, back to the boring 70s and 80s then
MC Prussian Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 Very happy for Newcastle and Rafa Benitez. Great team, grandios stadium and a great manager, deserve to stay up. The bottom three as it is are my favourites for relegation, although I'd swap Fulham for Crystal Palace if I could purely out of sympathy for Claudio Ranieri.
rachhere Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 It's interesting... we criticise Claude for not knowing his best 11 players, but its especially true for Pep now. He has the ridiculous issue that he has so many star players on his books that he has to keep alternating them to keep everyone happy, but as a result they just aren't playing as a team.

It's going to be one of those ****ing mental midweek set of fixtures where everyone drops points like the one where we drew to West Brom in the title season. Funnily enough was thinking about this earlier today too, brought back good memories. Even that draw just felt like a small blip.

They didn’t play until the Wednesday did they, was it West Ham that took points off spurs that mid-week? I remember seeing the score the next night and I couldn’t believe it, that’s when I started to think we might do it.
ScouseFox Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 that west brom game was mad, was probably one of our best games of the second half of the season in terms of football and chances created etc, just couldn’t win. they got back in the good books when they won us the league though. fu ck “chelsea winning leicester the league”, it was tony pulis and his absolute mob that did it the week before.
Wymsey Posted 29 January 2019 Posted 29 January 2019 A nice touch by Arsenal. ? Surprise that there's been no developments at all regarding the investigation, to be honest.

The fact anyone can take joy in watching a manager who won us the premier league get another club relegated is ****ing weird. It's not wonder everyone's laughing when they turned it around. Just stop digging. To be honest pal, the OP was pure bait. @KFS will back me up

Liverpool all but killed off Man City’s hopes with a 3-0 win too

Tell me, which top clubs know their best eleven? Chelsea. Spurs and United, maybe. Its fairly normal for clubs not to know their best elevens.
