What a disgrace by Burnley.  Not just anti-football, but anti-sportsmanship.

I used to like the English game for maintaining a higher standard of ethics than elsewhere.  Was I mistaken about that?

Sheffield United have had 1 top flight season in 25 years. Absolute pathetic.

Then again you look at other clubs down there and it isn't pretty. Leeds 15 years  Ipswich 18 years. Coventry 17 years. Forest 20 years. Sheff Weds 20 years.  All those clubs will claim to be bigger than Bournemouth, Watford etc but it's the latter who's relevant now.

To a certain extent.

For potential signings, the smaller premier league teams are a bigger draw due to money, quality of the league and exposure.

However, no disrespect intended to the teams, but if Bournemouth and Watford got relegated next season (unlikely I know), you'd barely register that thry werent in the Premier League the following season or even notice where they are in the Championship.

You know how well/badly the likes of Leeds, Villa and Sunderland are doing in their respective leagues as they are bigger clubs.

Don't any of these pricks want to qualify for the Champions League?

They are all on the beach. They are worried about having to play a lot of games in foreign cities. They just want to concentrate on finishing 8th to 12th next year.

Dyche has an extremely odd combination of looking like an old school hard bloke and talking like a modern middle manager. "There's an honesty in our group, a motivation, a central defining force of positivity, you slags".

Are they??  Or could it be there are more top journalists and pundits, that give them more media coverage, and therefore more bias.

All 3 mentioned have a large catchment area and support, hence more chances of journalist/media connections coming from those areas...

just a thought...:twitch:

So that's Burnley safe then?

Third and last team to be relegated to be decided between Southampton, Brighton and Cardiff.

Looking at the current form table, Brighton to go down.

The rules of football need looking at.

If you're an away team playing a superior outfit, why wouldn't you ask your players to go down 'injured' to waste time?

The time wasted in all the little stoppages is always more than the time added on when teams do this.

Burnley have probably played about 10 minutes of football less than if they'd have played the game normally there.

It's horrible to watch and frankly unenjoyable.

This is that article..

If this is a legit article and he feels that way it was obvious to everyone  but mahrez that he wouldnt get the same play time as he did for us.  When you make those sort of moves you accept it could go really right or really wrong.  I cant say his time has gone really wrong but its not in his favour.

He doesnt fit in and would be best served going to a club like liverpool, arsenal or tottenham.

He is welcome back for £20 million. The drop off is us recouping for nacho being shite lol

It’s not the fault of the players ..... the laws are there to be enforced. Refs simply don’t have the bottle ..... imagine dyche’s reaction if a ‘10’ went on the board!

Incidentally, have a look at the VAR time last Wednesday at Man City v spurs and then see if the right amount of added time was played ..........

I think this is a good assesment...

ernardo Silva has more fight and is as skillful or better than Mahrez. The reason your not in the team is when you lose the ball you put us under pressure. As a City player you have to go and win it back. Go and learn how to put some fire in your belly and return with the right mental aptitude ready to take on the Premier league fighting with the Champions. Unfortunately Mahrez wasted this year thinking he had arrived, when the reality is this is the start and to be successful this is when hard work starts.

Don't worry Riyad, only a few more weeks and you can sit in some airports again.

Did you see the Mercury article the other day about player nicknames? Had the usual Slabhead for Maguire, Sharky for Albrighton...

Then apparently the players called Riyad  'Viktor Navorski' (character from The Terminal film) because of the amount of time he'd spend in airports lol lol

I find him a fascinating character.

I suspect he’s kind of easily influenced. He comes across as not having a great deal of confidence imo.

I think he ‘just wants to play football’ but is led by his agent and just goes with it.

I imagine him to be the type of lad who is happiest when he’s playing and scoring goals and with him it probably isn’t all about money.

Would I have him back? No

Why? Because I feel he’d probably do it to us all over again or, that his agent would pressure him to leave again.

Sean Dyche hates football. Amazing how any sane Leicester fan wanted this dinosaur at the club. Imagine having to watch that thug Ashley Barnes up front for your team every week.

PS: I accept it's sour grapes from Luiz because his team bottled it against the hoof merchants of the league.
