Well there was someone who left Wembley at 2-0 down at 70 minutes - probably regretted that one!

This is very true.  Have a mate and work colleague who is a big follower of Watford.  Even worse, he was on a family holiday in Spain at the time he flew back with his son leaving his wife and daughter out in Spain, to go to the game.  He went from Gatwick to Wembley and when Wolves were 2 0 up he left the stadium at around the 70 minute mark and made his way back to Gatwick in order to go back to Spain.  To say he was gutted is an understatement.   We at work regularly now take the pee out of him.  He is adamant now though when he goes to the final he is staying right to the end, in his words, Rich they will have to kick me out cos I aint leaving ever again.

Leaving early in a league game at 2/3-0 down, even though I don't do it, I can understand. But a cup game where extra time and penalties is "only" two goals away, ridiculous. At least those people have been punished.

So much can happen in a couple of minutes. Barcelona needed 3 goals against PSG with 3 minutes plus stoppage time left and they did it.

I agree.

No idea why you would leave with 20 to play.

Same could be said about the match day forum on here with all the doom and gloom merchants out in force when we concede in first 15minutes of a game  despite 75mins+ to be played it’s we are shite we have lost, sack X sell Y, etc etc

I've a feeling its going to be us that upset Man City, and not Man Utd. Can picture scenes similar to West Brom vs Spurs when Craig Dawson scored at both ends to pretty much confirm the title for us.

Wes Morgan?

Wasn't there a play-off game at Wembley when a team was a couple of goals down, cameras watching them walk down Wembley way. Couple of minutes later it was level and you could see them running back up Wembley way lol. Cannot think of the teams but deffo a play-off game, went to penalties I think

Think I remember similar happening in the Wycombe/Southend final? It was just the one goal in extra time though?

Tonight’s game had a United 1-0 win written all over it. City are there to be shot at in my opinion, Liverpool are very much like we were a few seasons ago, they’ve got the bit between their teeth and are picking up points even when they’re playing badly.

Could the media be dragging any more of the possibility Man United might help Liverpool win a title and how their fans will never get over it?

BBC Sport have an article about it with the usual boneheaded, moronic comments (Loserpool are shit, Man Yoo 4eva blud), TalkSport were doing a phone-in about it.

There are still three games to play and each side has difficult matches.

To be fair, it is a massive talking point and if it happens will be talked about for years. It would be a bit weird if they focused on anything else.

What a strange situation it is.

Liverpool supporting their biggest rivals tonight and Manchester United fans (or at least a large proportion) not bothered about winning because they won't want their biggest rivals to win the league for the first time in nearly 30 years.

Strange for me since I'll actually be rooting for Man U today.

I think Man City will win it comfortably though.

I think all this talk about Manchester United turning up or rolling over implies that they have it in their power to stop Man City.

They don't because they're shite and Man City will twat them whether they turn up or not.

Van Dijk wins PFA Player's Player of the Season

Fully deserved. He's been pivotal since he came in and the biggest reason Liverpool is a contender for the title.

Yeah no qualms with him winning it given the impact he's had on Liverpool's defence.

Whether it was he or Sterling who won it I'd have no complaints.
