Langston Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Said in the Barnes thread, but that is a strange decision. The job there is big, they've stagnated for so long and this season was always going to be a tricky one – they were naive if they thought bouncing back immediately was an inevitability. Villa struggled after a similar situation, years of top flight mediocrity and keeping heads above water culminating in an absolute horror of a season and relegation. Shakey form recently but they could be a lot worse off than fourth and for the most part of this season have played very decent football, when the priority was surely just getting some sense of stability and life around a club that had become utterly miserable.
Vacamion Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 The OPTA stat that WBA have scored the 5th most goals in all 4 divisions. And they sack him... WBA must have someone ready.
Mark_w Posted 9 March 2019 Posted 9 March 2019 Sacking a manager with ten games to go when you're 4th in the Championship (and he's been in charge all season) is just utter madness. Morons.
TheSomersetFox Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Majority of baggies fans on twitter seem to think he’s clueless and they’ve been crap most of the season. Got to take their word for it

Funny how we all turn into utter hypocrites when it happens to other clubs, but we we were getting pelters for sacking Ranieri and (to a lesser extent) Puel we were all crying that "we watch it every week" and "we know best"

Personally I'm baffled, was under the impression they were having a strong season...
Happy Fox Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Birmingham City v Aston Villa today. Should be a good game.
surrifox Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Jokanovic and Wagner the early runners . Shame for Darren Moore he seems a genuine and likeable guy and has not exactly been a disaster for them

Personally I'm baffled, was under the impression they were having a strong season... not won at home for 3 months, comfortably beaten and looked pretty clueless in their two biggest games of the season in the last two weeks and followed it up with a draw at home against the worst championship team there has probably ever been. we would all be asking our manager to fu ck off if that was our form when we were meant to be favourites for the league.

The one you quoted saying "the majority of baggies fans think he's clueless" is hyperbolic at best.
Fox92 Posted 10 March 2019 Posted 10 March 2019 Wow. Birmingham fan runs on and tries to punch Grealish.

Don't like Grealish and why he's copying the god awful facial hair of Maddison only he knows but fair play for not rising.
