Sky Sports News reporting that we’ve turned down a £12m bid from a Saudi Club (didn’t hear which one)

Surely we're just haggling?

Great business if we can recoup most of our initial outlay.

What happened to £40m?

Maybe they found some highlight clips of games that weren't pre-season friendlies or World Cup games!

Aha it was always in Saudi currency wasn’t it

So what.  I'd take 12 million milk bottle tops for him.

Should have taken that offer.

How does this stuff get into the media ?? All business dealings will be done in confidence especially where such sum's of money are involved.

Just someone, somewhere speculating and everyone laps it up and discusses it as if its real

Just like the Ward and Mahrez supposed fee's. No one outside of the clubs accountants know for sure.

It's done to keep the interest going during the summer.

Of course it was. As if it was ever £40m. So many deluded dreamers on here, honestly.

Reckon he's content in receiving a high wage, without the real need to play often.

Has he ever spoken of his frustrations of his limited appearances at any point?

He’s honestly never been given a proper chance. I think, given games, service and the right position he would do well.

He's been given ample opportunity. He's had games and 18 months in training to impress.

His touch and weight of pass is like watching woman's football. Of course he has assets like blistering pace and the uncanny ability to produce the sublime once in a while but we shouldn't be looking this gift horse in the mouth. Sell whilst his stock is high and we can have damage limitation rather than keep and kick ourselves in three months time cursing why we never took the chance to offload for minimal financial damage.

He's Nigerian.

He probably is.

If he not gone to the World Cup and performed, I think a few more people would have snapped their hand off for 12m, including me!
