Don’t mind any English club winning in Europe. A bit like you hate your neighbour but both of you hate the people in the next street and you all hate the people in the next town etc

Touch of Class Liverpool. You gave everything. And now you have a chance to be Champions of Europe again. What a match. Trent Alexander Arnold is a God.

Luis and Phillippe put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Fair play to them, in all fairness they do deserve a trophy this year, glad it won’t be the PL but have no qualms with them winning the CL

Anyone bothering with the match this evening? Think I'll get some decorating done instead.

Same here, just gave the skirting a second coat of gloss and finished off the grouting in the bathroom.

Barca in the final I take it? Probably play Ajax

Great stuff. Bossed it from start to finish. Never really looked in danger and in fact after they went 4-0 up, it was Liverpool who looked more likely to score than Barcelona.

Champions League final on 1st June and Nations League on 6th. Bet Southgate is fuming that Liverpool and maybe Spurs could be in the final. Might be a problem for the Dutch as well though.

Do you think a part of it is the "problem" of starting 3-0 up. You need to be ruthless b******* and put it out of reach, kill it off but mentally easier said than done. And they don't face that kind of tempo over there, it's too hot for any of that charging about stuff. And teams are rarely great in luminous yellow, as the saying goes - look like stewards play like stewards. Theee slices of wisdom there. How do you explain what just happened?

This planet really does need aliens.

To come and wipe out all the xenophobes ideally.

Overrated big egos.  Wins nothing in football.  Deserve to lose 4-0.

Complacency and arrogance.

Say what you like about Barca, pretty tip tap slower paced football where teams back off you isn't what's served up over here.  Get in amongst them and you cause them problems.

Messi this, Messi that, when it comes to the big stage he often flatters to deceive as was the case tonight.

To many beards too, probably an aero disadvantage.

Incredible..

Fair play to Liverpool.. :appl:

A fantastic advertisement for football, it really is.

If they fail to beat Wolves on their own patch and lose the CL final, Klopp should really move to Tottenham - which would be quite fitting, complete 'bottlers'.. lol*

* But, given their very understandable sense of mood up there, this scenario of them failing to win either trophy now seems quite unlikely.

Barca were pathetic. Yes Liverpool played well  but that was a travesty of a performance.

Tonight doesn't change it, but the nightmare scenario of Liverpool winning EPL, Spurs winning UCL, and Leeds + McDons getting promoted is on.

In the end, the better team over two legs went through. Barcelona aren't anything special but have the most special player that raises them to another level.

What Liverpool did well tonight was stop the supply to Messi, through the really aggressive press from the front and took their chances when they came. A complete performance and well done to them.
