Defensively hes woeful.

So basically he's a right back who can't defend very well but is decent going forwards. 20 million looks a tad overpriced for what we have here so far.

Still need to sign a right back then.

He's not a full back, decent enough wing back or winger but not a full back.

He's no PL defender.  Pushed around last week for Liverpool's goal and all at sea today.

He will be loaned to Wigan in January after they sack Puel

He's a shocking signing. £19.8m and he can't tackle or track a man.

But he's good going forward, apparently. I'd rather we'd put the money towards signing a proper winger, rather than playing him there because our recruitment is poor.

really strange this one. I struggle to see what the scouts saw in him  ok he is not too bad going forward but he can't tackle to save his life and has the turning circle of a Mack truck

He’s fast. That’s probably about all you can say about him.

And now?

Do we have the best full backs in the league?

Phenomenal performance - he kept Sane quiet and was our best attacking option. Chilwell also marked Sterling out of the game

My MOTM by a mile and if you weren’t there you would think it was a reaction to his cracking winner but I had him there before that. Absolutely superb. Irrepressible all game.

Would genuinely get a game in most positions on the pitch for most teams. Brilliant.

Your point?

And then I missed yours.

Have a rep point for my jumping in out of context.

I would have thought his point was fairly obvious? X

Having reread his post and looked at my reactions, I think he might have just been emphasizing it.

Stand to be corrected.

Absolutely belting strike from Ricardo tonight. Capped off another brilliant performance. His hard work behind the scenes is evident and he's really found his feet in the EPL and come into some real form.

Our full-backs were always going to be defensively perilous against attacking players of Man City's calibre. A few mistakes but regardless of his goal he had a pretty good game.

He's come on leaps and bounds in the past few months, if he can keep improving his defendingf we might end up with the league's best full-back pairing!

My word what a player he is and what superb performances he has provided for us recently. For the team, as well.

As good as he is going forward, the defensive aspect has remarkably improved. Sane got by him a couple of times today but Pereira fought back with well-timed tackles and just good tracking him. Yes, Sane got ahead of him and managed to get a couple of crosses for Man City but it's not like Pereira made it easy for him. Having Albrighton ahead of him is a huge benefit, because he knows he's got an absolute workhorse to help him out if need be. But Pereira would return the favour when we go to attack teams and he joins in.

The goal was just the icing on the cake, really. Such a clean and sweet hit, one of those you kind of know it's going to hit the back of the net or be close to doing so when he struck it. Ironically it was Sane who headed it straight to him lol

I can't wait to see him play more if it's going to be like this. He compliments the balance of the side so much with Chilwell performing a similar role on the left flank. If they both go up, they know they have the protection of Mendy to drop back and help the defence.

It always takes players a different amount of time to get settled and properly integrated in to a new side, let alone that being in a new country. Pereira's done very well to get it done so quickly as we as fans of Leicester fully well know how foreign signings can take longer to settle in, or not do it at all.

On top of it all, he seems like a genuinely nice bloke as well. Great player to have and a credit to the club with the way he's played recently.

Looked poor defensively at the start of the season, took a couple of games off with Amartey in the team, now he's utter class. For me he's up there with the best right back in the league.

That’s staggering considering his abilities going forward too.

I'm going to enjoy every game he's with us, can see him being signed by one of the elite at some point.
