Bryn Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 (edited) These early cup games are usually a good chance to evaluate the stronger fringe players while not disrupting the main team too much, they should be fit enough for two games a week at this stage (perhaps minus the World Cup players who returned late). I imagine they'll make decisions based on the fitness levels of each player I'd imagine something like this. Schmeichel Pereira Morgan Soyuncu Chilwell Choudhury Ndidi Ghezzal Maddison Diabate Iheanacho Something like that. Run outs for Morgan and one of the new centrebacks, whichever is felt to be closer to being ready for first team football, at least one of the central midfielders who haven't started yet and the wide players we've not seen a lot of, whilst keeping at least 4 or 5 first choice players in for some continuity. I'd leave Kasper in to keep developing familiarity with the new defenders. I'm not actually sure if we're carrying any injuries at the moment so assuming those players are available. dnewty Posted 24 August 2018 Posted 24 August 2018 Just read on the mercury website that he is banned for Fleetwood. The rule does not apply for red cards it is for when you accumulate too many yellows that it kicks in.
