Just seen  the penalties, have to say that was the worst penalty kick from Hamza Chowdry I have ever seen, even the commentors thought it was crap, then someine mentioned he's never scored a penalty.

One must question why he was brought on in the 85th minute...

Best we’ve started a game all season. Very good first half display. Best Ricardo has been defensively as well. Dealt with Wolves well for the most part and three great saves from Ward. Hopefully take our chances at Newcastle on Saturday!! :scarf:

Loving the Wolves fans making out we played our full team today. lol

I wonder where their twattery came from .

I always thought that as a fan base they were relatively grounded

I didn't see any of it as I was out all evening but it sounded like you deserved to win in 90 mins and our penalties were shocking.

Your penalties were actually better than ours, but Danny Ward was superb

It was certainly more justified than last time. Because we are playing a lot of youngsters in the PL, our 'B' team had a lot of experienced pro's desperate to make an impression on the manager.

Best of luck til next time. The PL is the really important bit, especially in the crucial first year. Just look at Gray tonite, losing important players to long term injuries in the cup is no joke, when you are just settling in the top flight.

The commentary on the stream I watched was just as bad, saying Wolves were lacking attacking options due to resting their key players. Not a word about us doing the same with our 8 changes...

I was baffled at the time because the one thing Adrien Silva is a specialist at is penalty taking.

Ricardo was poor in my eyes - out of position a lot, got beaten by his man far too often too easily. Never looked comfortable to me all game. Too many deep crosses in the 1st half from Wolves and he wasn't there to defend them. Iborra had a much better game today and to be fair to Morgan he did alright too. But Ward was outstanding, that one-on-one save was good and his penalty saves were fantastic. Think he loved the chanting as well a bit too much haha

Ricardo looks more comfortable and dangerous in attacking areas

Wonder if the Wolves fans are berating Nuno for picking a weakened team right now...

Doubt it. They probably care as much about this competition as we do.

Was speaking to some Wolves fans as the line-ups came through and they were all pleased with the strength of their side. Was a thoroughly professional performance.
