the consistency that the big 3 or 4 sides get the easiest of draws is pretty remarkable in this competition.

After last season, I think everyone knows by now this cup is fixed to a degree.

Both cups have had what appears to be dubious draws for the last 2-3 seasons.

Winnable but not as nice as I'd have hoped, particularly if Everton get through (playing them twice at home in a couple of weeks). Only hope of the top 5 going really is probably Spurs.

Why haven't Everton and Southampton played yet?

Both Everton and Liverpool played last Sunday, so couldn't play Tuesday - police weren't having them both at home at the same time, so Liverpool played Wednesday.

Plenty of people moaning about the draw.

Was there really any other tie apart from Forest or Derby that everyone would’ve been buzzing with?

Tin foil hats out I see. Why can't people accept good/bad Cup draws sometimes just do happen?

I accept last year's QF draw was dodgy, and Carabao's marketing in general has made this Cup a joke, but surely they'd have kept Liverpool and Chelsea apart if they were that committed to a conspiracy?

If it was away I'd be pissed.

Good chance to go through now though

I am going to be in Liverpool that week for work, so I was secretly hoping for an away tie at Everton - so close! But obviously more important we get as far as we can in the competition, so great to be at home.

I think most would say a good season for us is Top 8 with Quarters of both cups.

And if you said we had to beat Everton or Southampton at home for a place in the quarters, I’d have it.
